It was a bright Monday morning, little Sophie was running through the streets of market in, Paradise valley.
"Excuse me… Sorry… Excuse me mam… sorry, sorry." While pushing her way through the crowds of onlookers and busy office ladies and gentlemen, she still ran, with as much determination as a 10 year old could have, to make someone's day special.
Some people turned and eyed her suspiciously and even angrily, as she made her way, but her bright smile with an apologizing look of those brown almond shaped eyes was enough for anyone to just watch this pretty little girl run past them with her wine red color dress flowing in the wind and just smile.
Finally after some more running and sorries, she did arrived at her intended destination, while smoothing her hairs and dress she entered the house,
"Mommy!!" she chirped happily and 3 heads poked out from the kitchen doorway, smiling brightly at her parents she entered the kitchen.
"Didn't I tell you, I have some important thing today, Sophie? We need to get ready early as I can attend to my important thing." her mother scolded
"I am not a baby, I know what a job interieu means Mumma." To which her father and sister laughed and her mother just smiled.
"I was out because I wanted to give you lilies for luck, so that you can get the job." she puffed angrily
"Aww, baby, come hear, let me hug you." her mother replied happily, and Sophie, satisfied with the reaction, ran to her.

They all got ready in 15 to 30 minutes, little Sophie and Rain for their school and their mother and father for their jobs and with a bright smile they all welcomed the beginning of new day and new month.
It was September the 1st, Sophie was going to start her 5th Grade and Rain was starting her 8th in school, though new school year makes every kid excited and happy but with all the chaos of today, Rain and Sophie, were just tired.
The sisters exited the car as soon as it stopped in front of their schools, and after bidding bye to their parents, both walked off to their classes.
As soon as the classes started, Sophie was having a fun day at school while Rain was just going through it.
Rain always thought that she was different from the other kids, not harry potter like different, but different in a sense of thinking and understanding things, kids in her class were just kids, with no motive for their life, just having fun and passing the day like nothing matters, but not her, she would always think of being someone better or doing something unique, ah, even the life of harry potter was better than hers, but the fact that, her's was the plain and boring life of a 13 year old girl was really unbearable for her, she want that, something special and adventurous happen to her or something even a little bit weird would be enough to make her happy.
But maybe god didn't wanted that, as usual she was sitting near the window but far from the front, as usual looking out and as usual ignoring the introductions that all other students were giving one after another as her Miss's orders, she was bored, she wanted something to happen, and that's what did actually.
While being busy in her thoughts she forgot that it was her turn to introduce herself and got the sudden shock as Miss Moon said, " Rain dear, care to introduce yourself, will you." her tone was gentle but rain knew, that this was only because it was just the first day, so she decides not to test patience of her miss and speak, " Um, Hi everyone, i am Rain Foster, some of you might know me and some of you don't, so for those who don't know me, i love reading and writing, hope we become good friends, thank you… and, um, sorry Miss."
"It's okay, sit down and please concentrate in the class." her miss replied to which she nodded.
Ah, if only…
Her thoughts were broken as she saw a bunch of older boys looking inside the class in awe, and some person in front with only his back visible pointing and saying things.
What was this all about she thought while looking at them, she was still in her thoughts when she noticed a guy from that group making silly faces at her, what the hell she thought and raised her hands up to signal her miss and started, "Miss, why are high schoolers inside our grounds."
With a confused face, her miss directs her attention towards the crowd, " guys just keep calm, let me go and ask about it."
Rain was super joyous, as all her class was looking at her and then the guys, and also because she was the one who gave the miss some important information. Bunch of girls started to shift their seats to sit near her, and ask her what else she saw, and Rain being herself undoubtedly loved all this attention and started to tell everything she did saw and imagined too.
After about and hour and half the matter was closed, and so was the school day and Rain while holding her sisters hands was standing on the footpath, waiting for her parents, she thought there was no point in telling Sophie, as their is high chances she won't understand the specialty of this matter and even more high chances the she will stop playing with the paper flower and also start to tell what happened in her class, and Rain was a very loving sister but she also was tired and wanted to just go home and sleep.
After about a minute or two of waiting, a weird thought crept into her mind, what if her parents had forgot about her? Then she realized that, her parents might at some point forget about her but this little devil, who was playing silently with the paper flower was the treasure of their life, they won't forget picking her up.
Smiling to herself she started to look on the road, and saw bunch of students waiting for the bus on the sidewalk, some guys from her class playing with ball near them and then she noticed them, the weird high schoolers, they were still here, and they were all waiting too, or maybe they are the child kidnapper gang or something, she thought.
They were just enough members to be a gang, maybe they are, should I call our miss/, and once again, I'll be the talk of the town, ah, no, no, she looked on her side towards the students that were waiting for the bus, they weren't even noticing the gang.
OH, what if I am the only one who can see them, she thought, hmm, "Sow?" she looked at her sister smiling.
"Yeah," Sophie said distracted
"Can you see the guys, across the street? "
"Huh, yeah, why?" Sophie replied after looking at the guys and then looking up at her sister.
"Oh, no, nothing. what's that in your hand?"
" Oh this," Sophie chirped, showing Rain the flower, "This is Lilly, I made this for mom, I hope…"
Sophie went on with her story but Rain was too distracted to listen to her sister, she just saw a boy sparking fire with her fingers, she thought this must be her eyes playing trick or something else, because things like this are not usually real.
The other guys started to push him and say something loudly, they were fighting about something, Rain looked at Sophie and Sophie did the same and then they both smiled, Rain smiling reassuringly and Sophie brightly.
Boom, something exploded and went up and crashed on the street.
Rain hugged her sister like a shield and looked at the guys, and saw what she thought was not supposed to be real but is, while everyone on their side of street were running towards the school, the gang or guys opposite the streets were grouped up and then she saw something she won't ever forget all her life, something that will change her life and leave a mark in her brain, something that will introduce different element of life to the Fosters.
While she hugged, little, scared Sophie more tightly, she watched in awe as she saw one guy with his left hand forward create a ball of flame and throw it at the guy with black jacket on, and that guy just pushed his both hands in front and that ball of flames collides with something blue and sparkly just an inch or two away form his hands, just like a shield. And she couldn't take it much, and she ran while caring her little sister towards the school. And the fact that she was the only one who saw this as everyone was inside, hit her, and she knew that, she couldn't handle something adventurous, she didn't wanted something adventurous, she wanted her life as plain as she has now, and she hoped that after this encounter she never get to meet any of that guys in future.
She was terrified.
