"He's driving back," after the flowers were loaded into the factory, the driver got back into the car.
"Don't worry, he won't see us," Luka reassured.
Their car was parked partly behind trees. From the main road, they drove into various smaller roads that led to the factory.
Luka parked the car in one of the side roads which were more hidden but had a good view of the factory and the place. Once the delivery car passed them, Yana opened the door and said to Luka, "Stay here in the car and wait for me."
"Wait, what are you doing? You can't go in alone!"
Yana also knew it was stupid and dangerous to go to the factory without any preparations or any way to defend herself or escape, but this was her only chance. She could come back but how would the factory look like on other days?
Yana's intuition told her to go now and usually one's intuition wasn't wrong. One foot out of the door, Yana couldn't go further as Luka stopped her with a worried face, "Don't go if you need something to confirm, I'll go instead."
Luka's action probably seemed endearing. Look at how much he cared for Yana but it was an unbelievable annoyance for Yana.
Her voice instantly chilled down as she gently brushed off Luka's hand from her shoulder and turned to him. His eyes filled with care met her icy ones as her voice full of frost able to breathe alive a winter storm in a car, said, "I don't want to repeat myself. Stay here and wait for me."
Luka instantly grasped that Yana wasn't angry, no, she was legitimately done with him. On one hand, Luka didn't want to anger her even more and become an annoyance, but on the other hand, he didn't want her to be in danger. However, Yana's confidence told Luak that he should trust her strength and when she said she was capable of doing things alone.
A bit hurt that Yana acted so harshly with him again, Luka pitifully retracted his hand and remained still on his seat before saying meekly, "I'm sorry. I'll wait for you."
"Good," with that Yana left Luka behind and was glad he gave in quickly. If she had to waste any more time arguing with him about something trivial, she would be extremely furious.
Yana walked to the end of the forest, the clearing that opened up to the space where the factory was and thought about how to get in. Currently, there was no one at the entrance door. Yana walked to the left and right a bit examining the building.
No matter how Yana looked, there weren't any surveillance cameras which was of an advantage for her. The building itself was quite old and unassuming and no one would willingly venture to this location. There was also the possibility that there wasn't anything of importance in the factory except for the flowers so the security was lax.
It was useless to stand here and make assumptions. Once Yana was inside, everything would make sense. Since there wasn't anyone and there were no cameras, Yana stopped in front of the entrance. There was really nothing and no one. No cars to indicate people were here, at least not in the front. The cars could be parked behind the factory.
Yana opened the metal entrance and to her surprise, it was unlocked. Quickly peeking in, her surprise was doubled. Even inside the factory, not a single soul was seen, only the rattle of the machines filled the place.
Yana stepped in and closed the door behind her yet once she was fully exposed to the inside of the factory, her heart made a leap and her eyes widened drastically.
"What in the world…?''
The design and build of the factory were quite typical.
It had two floors. The ground floor was for the production with machines and production lines and at the beginning and end of the place, there were a few stairs that led to the first floor with several rooms overseeing the production on the ground floor.
Nothing out of the ordinary, however, what was produced was the problem, capable enough of making Yana tremble at the sheer sight of it.
Although the parts were small, once assembled, even Yana could immediately figure out that this factory was mass production for weapons.
A weapon Yana has never seen before but unmistakably a weapon. Yana took a step towards one of the conveyor belts before she scrambled her mind together and pulled out her phone. She needed to record this. Yet just as she pressed record, rustle came from the entrance door.
Someone was coming! Yana's eyes darted left and right, her heart was beating like crazy before her feet finally moved her behind one of the massive machines halfway in the hall.
CREAK.
The door opened and footsteps appeared along with loud noises. Yana stealthily peeked from the machine and could barely see the outline of a person in a suit, however, there was no mistake. This person was Mik! Yana held her phone camera towards Mik to record him as inauspiciously as possible.
"Where's everyone?" Mik's displeased voice rang through the empty hall and competed with the loud rumbling of the machines working.
"There are in the back, taking care of the order," another male voice appeared.
"Ah," Mik sounded slightly happier, "So everything's ready to be sent to the border?"
"Yes, we are-"
Yet Yana couldn't hear anything anymore. The loud and deep thumping of her heart drowned everything out and nothing but blood rushing echoed in her ears. The border? What border? Was it the one where the peace treaty had failed? The place where Roy was currently? Where tension brewed and war was about to break out?
Where blood and slaughter spilt on a daily basis? Yana gripped her phone tighter and pulled it towards her chest as she didn't dare to peek anymore and completely hid herself.
Yana had a bad premonition. She discovered something really bad. Mass production of weapons? Sent to the border?
Oh no. If they managed to supply one country with some kind of new weapon- however, how did the flowers play into the role?
No… way.
Could the flowers be used as-
"Found you~" a rash yank made Yana land on the ground and drops of hot sweat poured down her body.
