Chapter 123 - Head full of him

It was a date. That was what Luka said. No matter how much Yana tried to talk to Luka about it, he was floating away on his own cloud and happily served the customers.

Yana could only give up and submit. It was just one day going out alone with Luka.

Yana could do it. No big deal. Even though he said it was a date, she made sure not to treat it as one and make it clear to him.

Also, Luka could've been just saying it was a date as a joke. He didn't necessarily mean it, but seeing Luka so happy and excited about it made Yana's heart warm. Was he really looking forward to their date? Were those genuine feelings? Now that Yana thought about it perhaps she also-

No, no, no Yana quickly shook her head and thought to distract herself. The records! Yes, she ended up checking the records again. The store was about to close soon and Luka took care of the last customers while Yana hurried around the store to clean up, so she could leave earlier to avoid being any longer with Luka.

Since she has already finished, her mind constantly drifted towards the damned date Luka spoke of. It was frustrating to Yana. She didn't have feelings for him, neither cared about topics such as love and dating, so why was she so hung up about it?

Yana's hands quickly fumbled with the record book to clear her thoughts of Luka whose loud voice constantly rang in her ears. She swore he was doing it on purpose, wanting to fill her entire being with thoughts of him. Yana blurred it out and earnestly looked through the records.

Just as her previous discovery, Lanz delivery was the same provider for theevents but there was one thing she had missed. Previously, she just rushed through the records and assumed that all the orders Lanz delivery was responsible for were events, but now that Yana took a closer look, her suspicions towards this provider only grew.

The provider didn't solely take care of orders for events but also for some individuals who were surprisingly always different people but their orders had something in common. They were all incredible large quantities of flowers. How could one person order as many as an event needed?

Maybe they use it for a party they're throwing at home but so many people, in the two digits, couldn't be a coincidence. Once Yana noticed this, it was a pricking eyesore she couldn't get rid of. She had to check this lead even if it was really just a coincidence.

Yana was so absorbed in her new finding that she didn't notice the burning yet gentle look Luka gave her after he closed the store. Once he locked the front entrance, he slowly trailed towards Yana with a small smile conveying his unbelievable joy.

The closer he came, the more uneasy Yana suddenly felt until-

SWOOSH-

Yana ran into something and almost tripped but Luka quickly caught her. Yana rubbed her forehead and cursed two things. One was that she didn't hear Luak approaching and second- why the hell was his chest so hard?

This was a joke right? There was no way a human chest could be as hard as a board. Was this even possible?

"Does it hurt?" Luka even had the audacity to let his soft finger caress the spot on Yana's forehead his chest hurt.

Yana unintentionally puffed her cheeks and angrily stared at Luka's chest to the point Luka lightly laughed and pulled her head to lean on said chest.

"If you want to be hugged again just say it, no need to burn a passionate hole in my body," Luka's delightful voice tickled Yana's ears and made her red with anger.

Who the hell wanted to be hugged by him? Again? The shameless guts Luka had!

Yana tried to push herself off him but Luka's arms were already wrapped around her while his chin rested on her head. There was a tiny warm tingling surge in Yana's body, she tried hard to ignore. So what if Luka was holding, hugging her? So what if it was comfortable and comforting?

Yana was at a loss why she always felt so safe and at ease with Luka when she should be suspicious of him. Yana didn't want to think about it anymore and be sucked into a black hole to never be able to escape again. So, Yana slightly pinched Luka in the sides and used the opportunity of the surprise freezing him for a second to get out of his embrace.

Seeing the hurt look on Luka's face as Yana now stood a distance away, Yana suddenly felt bad and said, "Save it for the date," which instantly brightened his face.

Yana regretted it the second she said it and quickly left the store to get changed. Why was she guiding him with hope and empty promises?

Of course, nothing would ever happen on the date. After Yana changed, Luka waited for her but as fast as the wind, Yana left him behind and rushed back home. Yana couldn't see him now or she would feel pity for him and fall for his display of sad emotions he whipped out of nowhere.

Luckily, Luka didn't work tomorrow and Yana could enjoy work with Nini instead. Yana shut her apartment door and threw herself on her bed before she took her laptop and started her research about Lanz delivery.

She had to first get a picture of this delivery company. It was very weird that the van was still at the event and even most of the flowers weren't delivered.

Either way, there was no other way for Yana to get to the delivery company personally and check It out.

Yana typed in the name and looked over the company's image, the contact details and address. It was a delivery company for mainly garden stuff, so flowers delivery were also part of their jobs.

Yana scrolled down the homepage as her phone blinked. It was a message from Luka. Yana ignored it but the next second another came. Yana scowled and tried to not think about Luka and continue her search but no matter how she focused on it, all she could think about was her date with Luka in two days. Curse you Luka!
