A blur of surroundings flashed before the window. The cold wind fiddled with strands of hair hidden underneath a large cap, and a pair of tinted sunglasses hid the malicious glint before the window was rolled up.
Yana adjusted her clothes and tightened the straps of her bag. In order to go unnoticed and hail a cab, Yana had to disguise herself. Not too much to stand out but enough for no one to recognise she was the one hated by the public and wanted by the police.
This might've become less of a deal if Yana wasn't associated with Luka and M.M company. Yana hoped that Seli, Melinda and the children were doing fine. Just in case the police came, she asked them to feign ignorance if asked about her whereabouts.
"Miss, we're here," the cab came to a stop. Yana tore her gaze off the window, paid the driver and then headed into the store before her.
When Yana finally managed to get Luka to leave, Marie got back to Yana. There was a lot of information but based on the time, Yana didn't have the leisure to go through all of it.
So, she only picked out the parts she needed and then waited for Seli and Melinda to wake up, afterwards she headed out to begin her preparations.
Since the ride took a while to get to the centre of City M, Yana had enough time to think through a lot of stuff. If it was possible she also wanted to tear down the three irrespective companies.
This way she would feel more at ease and satisfied. Because of them, Yana had been put through a lot of unnecessary crap. She wasn't the type to exact revenge but if they didn't suffer at least a bit, there was no face left for Yana.
Actually, things could've been solved very easily if Yana put Marie to good work, fabricating evidence manipulating the public and exerting pressure on the managers and the companies just like how they did, was also possible for Yana, but she was more than aware that since this was her first mission she had to prove herself.
She already used Maria as a cheat and that the situation escalated to this point was Yana's fault, so she had to clean it up well.
"I can't believe I've ended up here," Yana's hand glided through the shelves before her eyes landed on the vibrant colours of different shaped objects. A nauseating sweet smell lingered in this ambiguous atmosphere.
From the moment Yana stopped into the store, the curtains in front of the windows dimmed and darkened down the whole place. Only the soft light feelings of desires lit up the various items that would only be used during the most private moments.
If Yana could, she would have preferred to never set a foot into these kinds of places but since her disguise had to be impeccable, there was no other choice.
Yana walked to the counter and pointed behind the clerk, "Give me one of those please."
Several masks, akin to masquerades, hung on the brown wall covered by a black quilt.
"This one?" the staff used a stick to take a baby pink bunny mask off the wall.
The use of it was obvious and it slightly left a revolting taste in Yana's mouth, "Yes, please."
Marie has worked quick and sent a replica of a certain mask with a unique pattern to this store for Yana to pick up. There was a small engraving that certified the authenticity of this mask and told the other person that one belonged to a certain club.
"Do you have a club membership?" this was what the clerk had to ask.
"No, but I'm supposed to do a practice round, I thought it'd be more impressive to already get one of these myself," Yana's voice was slightly sweet and slightly tempting as her words gently flooded around the clerk's ears and told him she was the right person.
Seeing her confidence, the clerk didn't question her further, so he believed Yana wasn't lying.
"Quite the ambition, that would be 50.99," the clerk packed up the mask and handed it to Yana, "Well, then wish you good luck. Hope you manage to be impressive."
"Thank you," Yana smiled but on the inside, she sneered. The clerk obviously thought she really wanted to do certain activities.
What a load of bullshit, but then again this kind of activity was well-paid, so Yana couldn't say anything if the females voluntarily wanted this themselves.
After Yana left the store, she hailed another cab to finally go to her final destination.
It didn't take her long to arrive. The centre was divided into different parts. The habitable places depended on how much money one got. The place Yana lived in was for the lower middle class which she could only afford through her student loans.
The area Yana headed to was one for the middle-class who made roughly more than 6 figures yearly.
The building complex wasn't too different from Yana's old place. Anyone could enter or leave, there was only a reception on the ground floor. The building was modern and neat but nothing too fancy. However, each floor only housed two apartments for added privacy. It only had 30 floors. The higher up a floor was, the more expensive it cost.
Despite Mr K looking like a disgusting hooligan he actually lived pretty well, considering he lived on the highest floor. Although Mr K was a simple general manager he still was in the upper half of the tier list at the LXL company. It was obvious that he didn't reach this position through his efforts and talents alone since he lacked both.
Rather than that, Mr K was a lapdog for LXL's CEO Mik. The nasty guy she met at the banquet. On top of that, Mr K's family was well-off, so they worked their connections and this was how Mr K got his current position.
He didn't deserve a single ounce of it but then again most executives in companies only secured their place through connections or even underhanded methods.
Those honest and hard-working ones who didn't know how to work their mouths and flatter the higher-us could never survive, much less make it to the top in this power and money hungry, ego-feeding culture and society, the world of business, economic and politics boasted. In fact, it was the truth for every industry. Those with interpersonal skills had it easier.
The lift finally arrived at the top floor and Yana stepped into the hallway that had only two doors. One at the beginning and one at the very end. Yana's high heels are dulled by the carpet and as she approached the door at the end she pulled out the bunny mask, took off her glasses and hat, and put on the mask.
Her long black hair now swayed with every move she did while she unbuttoned the beginning of her shirt. A woman's allure and sexiness should nothing be shamed for, in fact, if a woman wanted to embrace it and put it to use, then there should be nothing stopping her.
Although Yana was as unsexy as a piece of wood could be, in order to prepare for these kinds of situations, Yana had to up her seduction skills and be ready to become a deadly temptress if possible. For that Yana had to learn a lot from one of her teammates.
However, right now Yana wouldn't put her skills to display, after all, Mr K didn't deserve it, she only needed to look the part and lure him into a fake sense of security and illusion, enough to numb his mind and throttle down his senses, so she could be ready to tear down any facades and sink her teeth into the sweet flesh of victory.
Ding Dong
The bell was pressed. Seconds later, it opened. Mr K's annoyed face lit up when he saw the pleasant surprise.
A bunny girl made it to his door. However this time she was distinctively different. Her eyes shone with seductive danger that Mr K was unable to resist. To him, the bunny girls from the member clubs were always welcome. Even if it was a wolf disguised as one.
