Chapter 52 - Untold

Creak! Creak! Step! Step!

The wooden floor made a creaking sound as he took a step closer to Chamberlain Harriet.

Her breathing hitched as brother Seymour closed the gap between the two of them.

"Hmmm, perhaps I am only exaggerating about the situation at hand," muttered brother Seymour as he went into a halt. "Don't you think, Csilla?"

Startled with the sudden inclusion of my name into the conversation, I flinched as my eyes widened. "Ah, hahaha," I faked a laugh. "Perhaps, brother, perhaps," I repeated with uncertainty, but the fake smile on my lips never left. 

Chamberlain Harriet stared at us with her mouth gaped wide open as confusion reflected in her eyes. She blinked several times as if though she was trying to regain her composure back. 

Gulped! Gulped!

She swallowed the invisible lump in her throat. Beads of sweat started to trail down from her neck.
