Chapter 10 - Stormseizer Berserker Gun

Stormseizer Berserker Gun

Max retracted the metal-like claws into his fingers and beaconed at the Rainsword sect members that they should come meet him where he was.

The Rainsword sect members who were simply dazzled by his ghostly speed and ferocity quickly nodded their heads upon his signaling and then walked up to meet him.

They still couldn't understand how a human, one who didn't cultivate Qi, or more precisely, Speed Qi, could achieve such extreme ghostly speed.

Also, they couldn't comprehend how he was able to slash the beasts into slices without any long and broad, sharp-edged weapon or cutting instrument in his hand.

When they got to where he was, the degree of veneration which they looked at him with increased. And this was because not a single stain of dark red beast blood cold be seen on his strange outfit.

"Brother, you are really powerful. I don't think you are a mortal." Shang Fei said.

"Yea. I am not a mortal. I am a super mortal. No. I am a hybrid super mortal. Haha!" Max said and grinned. He was enjoying being famous among these people.

However, the Rainsword sect members only looked at him with puzzled expressions in their faces. They couldn't understand the terms that he was using. They only simply nodded their heads to what he said.

"Where are you really from? I asked this question because, from the way that you speak and from the way that you do things, I have a definite feeling that you aren't from this world" Shang Fei said.

"Well, I am not from this world as you have fully noticed. I am from a planet called Earth. And from what I have seen so far, my world, Earth, is far more developed and advanced than your world."

"The only thing I can commend your world for is true magic which you guys call cultivation, don't correct me. That's what I think about it. Haha!" Max said with a grin while a displeased 'ugh' sound rang out from the people around him.

One would know that Max was only trying to purposefully compare their cultivation to magic since he was a bit jealous.

He then said further "Back in my world, we have magicians too. But later, we started to refer to them as Technomagicians. And this is because the assholes use advanced technology to create magic which didn't make me feel exhilarated anymore."

"I love real or true magic like the ones that true magicians exhibited thousands of years ago. But ever since I realized that the ones in my time used tech to produce stunning magical effects, I became disappointed in them and totally lost interest in seeing them perform anymore. I knew they were tricks and didn't feel enjoyable to me anymore. Anyways, all this was when I was very young." Max said.

"Wow. Your world is something. Can we cultivators go to your world and be able to use our powers in there?" Shang Fei asked with a curious gaze in his eyes.

"I don't really know about that. Your world supports absorption of Qi since it even has a boundless bank for it. But my world doesn't and so might not support it."

"However, I have a feeling that the energy we call life-force energy in my world can also be another term for Qi in your somewhat primitive world. Haha!" Max replied and chuckled.

The Rainsword sect members only shook their heads at him. But they were actually beginning to feel that their world was primitive, compared to the one that he came from, since he knew these terms and said things that they had basically no idea about.

"Oh. Well...." Shang Fei was about to speak when he and the rest suddenly heard the really loud and absolutely terrifying roars of beasts in the far distance.

And this time, the beasts seemed to be very many since the earth which they actually stood upon began to intensely tremble from the beasts' frenzied running towards them.

Max furrowed his brows.

'I guess the beasts perceived the blood of the beasts that I killed in their various caves and so have gathered in large numbers to come devour them up. But unfortunately, we are in their way and could risk being eaten up too.' He said within himself.

Max didn't need to look around to see the fear written in the faces of the Rainsword sect members. He could just perceive the aura of dread emanating from their bodies.

And since he came up with the thoughts that this time, the beasts would be very many in number and where one could pass through a tiny gap in his defense to attack the Rainsword sect members, he decided to take preventive measures against that.

And this he did by bringing out a dreadful weapon from the storage cube that his dad gave him.

He planned to use the weapon to slay the massive hordes of furious beasts that were dashing towards them from the distance.

"Time to test one of my dad's god-destroying guns." Max said with a sharp gaze in his eyes.

Then with a single thought from him, the neutrally-linked teleporter in his pocket blinked and then a large, fearsome-looking gun appeared on his two hands.

Immediately the gun appeared on his hands, he received a rush of information into his head on the amount of damage it could unleash and how to operate them.

...............

Name: Stormseizer Berserker Gun.

Ability: Can shoot large sphere-shaped bullets that can burst into tremendously destructive, electricity-imbued fire.

Damage Capacity:

-> 1st-Level Attack Mode [Windchaser]: Capable of causing damage that can level 1/10th of a small city block.

...............

"Hmm! That's why it feels so heavy, despite my insane vampiric physical strength.'

'However, it's beautifully destructive. Just what I need to show off to these Rainsword folks that cultivators are shit without ultra-advanced, space-age guns. Haha!" Max said inwardly in a self-amusing manner and grinned.

Then without wasting time further, he aimed the multi-barreled gun at the beasts and pressed the trigger of the weapon.

Rmmmm!!

This whirling, machine-like sound rang out from the gun as it began to operate. Then a second later, a rocket-propelled, enormously-sized metallic sphere that contained an immense amount of compacted, blue-colored flame and millions of arcs of electricity that raged and rampaged about within it, shot out of a barrel of the gun towards the beasts at a great speed.

Then when the massive sphere which was an explosive containment shell got to where the beasts were, it exploded into bits and in the process, released the huge amount of fire compacted into it with millions of bolts of electricity exploding out of it in the next moment.

BOOM! BANG! CRACKLE!

These were the ear-aching terrifying sounds that rang out when the shell burst into fragments and abruptly released a devastating storm of fire and alarming, destructive flood of lightning.

Then when the terrifying fire and electricity explosion subsided many minutes later, what could be seen on the ground were extremely charred pieces of the hundreds of the beasts that were previously raging towards them.

Max turned around to look at the people from the Rainsword sect and then kissed the heavy gun in his hand which had stopped producing the whirling, machine-like sound and an operational light that emitted from it to indicate that it was working.

Then with a withdrawal thought from him, the neutrally-linked teleporter in his pocket blinked and then instantly produced an invisible teleportation field that made the large and heavy gun held in his hand to vanish from his hands and reappear in the storage cube that was also in his pocket.

'Wow!' The Rainsword sect members said inwardly as they couldn't help but be greatly astonished by the tremendous destructive power of the strange weapon that they saw earlier in Max's hand.

"Alright. Let's March to that place." Max said while Shang Fei nodded his head.

Then Shang Fei took the lead and led the rest of the people in his group to any of the caves where the item dropped by their sect teacher may be found at.

When the frightening explosion took place with the entire mountain that they were in trembling intensely and rapidly developing cracks like as if it was going to crumble down to fragments in the next moment, other members of the Rainsword sects who were in other areas of the mountainous Valley that Max and Shang Fei's group were in, couldn't help but have their minds be terribly shaken by the explosion.

"What caused that? Is there an high-level cultivator battling a cultivation beast in one of the mountains on this valley?" A tall and slender, white-skinned girl that looked twenty years in age and could be said to be really beautiful since she had a face that will attract myriads of creatures and in it were eyes that will make the constellations of stars at night to feel less beautiful, spoke with deeply furrowed brows.

"Xiao Bilan, maybe what you said is right. There could be a high-ranking cultivation expert battling some high-level cultivation beasts in one of those caves."

"Should we leave immediately so we won't be struck by their destructive attacks if they unexpectedly fought up to here?" A girl called Huang Yufei who was also a member of the Rainsword sect and was nearly as tall as Xiao Bilan, asked.

Xiao Bilan exhaled.

"Everyone, let's leave. Or we might get struck by either the attacks of that expert or beast." She said while the people who were around her nodded their heads.

Then they began to dash at high speeds to leave a cave that they had gotten deeper into.

After the terrific explosion occurred, many cultivation beasts in other caves became exceedingly frightened and then dashed away from the caves that they inhabited because of the alarming, mountain-shaking sound that they suddenly heard to other faraway places that were burrowed into the large mountain that they were in.

Therefore, because of the forced eviction of the beasts from the caves that they dwelled in due to the mighty explosive sound that suddenly rang out, Max and the rest of the group didn't come across any beasts on their way.

With bright smiles in their faces and with towering delights in their hearts, Shang Fei and the rest of the people in his group moved at high speeds to quickly comb the many vacant caves before their ferocious inhabitants would return.
