Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 *The Day Had Come*

(It was morning. Everyone was getting up and ready. Reo got up and grabbed for his metal gloves, but he stopped. He remembered something Kazu said about the tournament. No one is allowed to bring weapons or anything that can help them in any way in battle. So no gloves and no sword.)

Reo: "Stupid Kazu."

(Reo got up and stepped on something on the ground. He looked to see a grey tank top and grey sweatpants. There was a note that read 'wear this for tournament'. Reo assumed it was from Kazu. He got dressed and headed downstairs where the rest of his team stood in the same tank top and sweatpants he was in. )

Kazu: "Alright. Everyone is here. Now the rest of the competitors are at the stadium with

Mr. Clone and Protector. People will start heading here any minute now, so we'll make sure to get the payment and send them through the portal."

Selene: "Awesome. Everyone let's do this."

(Selene seemed extra excited today. She was extremely pumped about the tournament. She felt she could win this, and then get noticed as a hero. It's hard getting noticed as a hero, but once you are you will get lots of money. Of course that's not all Selene cares about, but it is nice to have. Especially since Kazu is a little low on cash lately.)

Kazu: "Yeah, that's the spirit, Selene. Now let's go wait for everyone, and remember, only let

them pass if they pay you."

Reo: "Yeah, yeah, we got it. Now let's hurry up so I can win."

(They all walked out and stood around for a few minutes. Then a crowd of people all started to pour in, holding their money in the air. Dai tried to control the chaos.)

Dai: "Single file lines everyone! Single file- ahhh!"

(The crowd ran right over him and towards Kazu.)

Kazu: "Uh oh."

(The crowd was so fast and so many. Kazu didn't want to put up the portal until they got the money from everyone, but if he didn't put it up soon, they might run over everyone there and then. Then a loud voice stopped the whole crowd.)

Ruri: "Everyone stop!!!"

(The crowd stopped.)

Ruri: "Now I want an even single file line right now, or no one is getting in!"

(They all stared at her.)

Ruri: "Got it!?"

Crowd: "Yes ma'am."

(They all got in a single file line quickly.)

Ruri: "Good."

(She looked at Kazu, giving him the signal to continue.)

Kazu: "Right, uh ok. So go to one of the hero's and pay to get in, and stay in your lines."

(They all walked up to each hero and paid to get in. Kazu opened a portal and let them in. Reo seemed to be a bit meaner to the people in his line. A man walked up to him trying to be in the tournament, and he wasn't too nice about it.)

Jiko: "Hi there, so how do I join the tournament?"

Reo: "How the hell would I know? Now give me the money and go through."

Jiko: "Oh, I'm not here to watch. I'm here to fight. I'm hoping it will get me noticed as a hero and-"

Reo: "I didn't ask. Now pay me or get to the back of the line."

Jiko: "Oh, uh here you go."

(Jiko handed Reo 100 yen.)

Jiko: "That should cover it. Now how do I fight in the tourna-agh."

(Reo threw Jiko through the portal.)

Reo: "Ugh, so annoying. Next."

(Everyone in line has gone through the portal, so it was time to start the tournament. Mr. Clone had his clones serving food and patrolling the city. Mr. Clone himself was sitting on a bench right next to the fighting area. He was seated next to Protector. Mr. Clone also had a few kids from Shuyona's high school to come and watch up close. They were right next to the fighting area too, along with Mr. Shuyona. Mr. Clone talked with Mr. Shuyona before about talking with the microphone throughout the show. Telling people the competitors' cores and strengths since his core was built for that kind of thing. Mr. Shuyona's core was core seeing, meaning he could see everyone's cores, how strong they are, their weaknesses, and how even more of the person's stats. He agreed to this. Kazu walked down to Mr. Clone to make sure this was all started. He was talking with some girl. She had long blond hair and brown eyes with a long white toga dress that covered her legs. She also had a gold band around her forehead and a staff in her right hand.)

Mr. Clone: "Kazu, come here and say hi to the Goddess Eir."

Kazu: "The Goddess Eir?"

Mr. Clone: "Yes that is her hero name. She goes usually by Eir for short."

Eir: "Pleased to meet you."

(She put out her available hand.)

Kazu: "Pleased to meet you too, Eir."

(Kazu shook her hand.)

Mr. Clone: "She's great. She'll be the healer in case anyone gets injured."

Kazu: "Well that's great. Thank you, Eir."

Eir: "It's no problem at all. Happy to help."

Mr. Clone: "Hehe, she also does this joke where she is an angel hehe, it's hilarious. Do it Eir."

Eir: "But I am an angel."

Mr. Clone: "Hahahahahhahahaha, oh it never gets old."

(Mr. Clone wiped a tear from laughing so hard.)

Mr. Clone: "Anyway, ready to start, Kazu."

Kazu: "Almost, it looks like everyone is almost settled. The clones are setting out food for everyone and that's even making us more money. I wanna wait a little bit longer for everyone to pay for their food, then we'll start."

Mr. Clone: "Alright, whatever you say. Just tell me when you're ready."

Kazu: "Ok, Toshi."

(Kazu walked back to the rest of the competitors. They all had a room where everyone was sitting around waiting. As soon as Kazu walked in, he was basically attacked.)

Reo: "Are we ready yet, damn it! I'm getting tired of sitting around!"

Kazu: "Ah! Jesus, Reo. You almost gave me a heart attack."

Reo: "Good, you have me waiting here forever. I didn't deal with people wanting to get in all day, just to be trapped in a room."

Kazu; "Getting everyone in took like twenty minutes and you've only been here for 10 minutes."

Reo; "Whatever, just hurry up. "

Kazu: "Well I came in here to make sure everyone was ready."

Selene: "I'm ready."

Shurui: "Awesome, time to start."

Sara: "Yeah, let's do this."

Jiko: "Yeah let's do this guys."

(They all went quiet.)

Kazu: "Uh, can I ask who you are? You're not on the list."

(Jiko looked around for a minute.)

Jiko:" There's a list?"

Kazu: "I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."

Jiko: "Aw."

(Jiko walked out with his head down as everyone stared at him. When he left they all got pumped up again. )

Kazu: "Alright let's do this."

Everyone: "Yeah!"

(The tournament has officially started with the first two competitors in the arena. Kai was given something to read off of for each competitor, but he had his own dialogue he wanted to say.)

Kai: "Alright, if you can't fight anymore or get thrown out of the area, you lose. First up to fight is Atom Bomb."

(A guy with short red hair and green eyes stood up there.)

Kai: "His opponent is Boom."

(A girl with long orange hair and red eyes stood up there too.)

Kai: "Their cores are… both explosion based."

Atom Bomb: "You know it."

Boom: "Hell yeah."

Kai: *sigh* "Fine, a double explosion battle today. Atom bomb's core is atom explosion, so he can explode atoms, and atoms are everywhere, that's overpowered. "

Atom Bomb: "Haha, yeah, you're going down."

Boom: "No, you."

Kai: "What the hell is this, uh Boom's core is… self destruct?"

Boom: "Aw yeah, it's awesome."

Kai: "D-do you die?"

Boom: "Nope, but I get really really hurt and probably won't be able to move."

Kai: "W-why did you think joining a tournament was a good idea. Even if you win this match you can't move on to the next one."

Boom: "I didn't think it through."

(She still sounded pumped while saying this.)

Kai: *sigh* "Whatever, just fight."

(Atom Bomb and Boom ran at each other. He grabbed for the air, which he could explode because it is made out of atoms, but Boom exploded knocking him out. Boom was there standing for a second, but then fell over also unconscious. The crowd cheered and booed)

Kai: "Wow, a tie. So surprising."

(Kai looked down at the sheet of paper.)

Kai: "Next is Canteen."

(A girl with long wavy hair and blue eyes walked onto the arena. She also had a tattoo of a dolphin on the back of her neck.)

Kai: "Her core is ocean waves. She can produce the waves of an ocean from her own body. So like a water core, but you get salt in your eyes."

(Kai looked at the paper again.)

Kai: "She'll be fighting Doriro."

(Dai walked onto the arena. He was ready. Technically he had to hold back a little bit because he didn't want to kill her, and he didn't know how good the healer was, so he would have to be careful and focus on usually his combat skills mostly.)

Kai: "Doriro's core is drills, so he can make drills on his body. Wow, and I thought ocean waves were boring."

Dai: "Hey, shut up!"

Kai: "Don't tell me to shut up, I can see both of your stats, and let me tell you, it's not looking good for drill boy."

(Kai was right. She can use her ability freely, and he had to be careful with his. She probably can't do much damage, but she'll surely tire him out. It doesn't take much to tire Dai out too. Once he went up a flight of stairs and needed to sit down a minute. He'll have to think over so many things. How much energy he's using, how much of his drill he's using, where he is hitting, how hard he is hitting-)

Kai: "Fight!"

(Dai wasn't ready at all. He looked up to see a wave of water right off the bat. Looks like she's being cautious of his drill core. He doesn't blame her. Even though he could use his drills at afar, he didn't want to hurt her too bad. If he kills someone during a tournament he might get kicked out again, or even worse. Prison. What will Kazu think? What will Taku think? What will anyone think?)

Man from crowd: "Fight back wimp! I came to watch a fight, not some chick beat a nerd!"

(Well he was sort of right. Dai was getting beat. He had to fight back, he hasn't even hit her yet. He was making excuses about his drills. He had to at least try and beat her. He started to sprint right at her. She was making wave after wave, but he kept dodging them. He was finally close enough to throw a punch. He moved his fist back and went full force on her, but she dodged and tripped him. He fell then she pushed him back again with another wave pushing him right off the concrete. He lost, and it was not close at all.)
