Seeing the familiar object placed right in front of him, Jeong gasped. He almost leaned forward and touched it. However, regardless of how much he wanted to do that, he refrained from moving. He wouldn't give King Sejo the satisfaction of seeing him riled up.
Consequently, after Jeong gave one last, longing glance towards the white jade plaque, he raised his eyes, and stubbornly avoided looking at it again.
"Hm, I must say that this is not the reaction I expected from you." King Sejo said, rubbing his chin pensively.
"I don't understand what you mean by that." Jeong played the fool.
"Well, I had the impression that this object is very important to you." the King moved his hand to point at the jade plaque. "Since this is not the case, should I just get rid of it?"
