Yu Yeong's words managed to somewhat placate Jun's rising displeasure. Thus, dinner could continue in peace and quiet. No tempers flared up and no explosions happened in the meantime. Though everyone kept shooting furtive glances at each other, neither one was willing to say a word about this matter.
After dinner finally ended, everyone exited the room one after the other, leaving just Jun and Yu Yeong inside. They were sitting on opposite sides of the table, with a pot of rice wine and two small cups between them.
"How are things in the capital?" Jun asked without preamble.
Yu Yeong shook his head. He didn't say a word, but his serious face expressed everything.
"That bad, huh?" Jun signed. "The court was rotten even before, but now it's become a slaughterhouse for a madman."
