Being cornered like this left Hyun with no other choice but to put one last desperate attempt at concealing the truth. Thinking of half-truths and half-lies, he eventually answered Jun's question in what he hoped to be a steady voice.
"That man's name is Min Byung-Ho. He is Minister Min's only son and..." Hyun paused before continuing in a low voice. "He is also the King's son-in-law."
"The... what?!" Jun gasped in astonishment. Luckily, he stopped himself right before shouting, so he quickly added in a hushed whisper. "The King's son-in-law?! That guy?!"
"Mn." Hyun nodded, putting on a calm front, but feeling quite unsettled inside his heart. He was worried of saying either too much or too little and deeping Jun's suspicion even further.
"How in heaven's name do you even know that?"
While Jun's eyes went wide thinking how a common person like Hyun could know such an elevated figure, Hyun, on the other hand, looked unperturbed. He merely shrugged.
