The last week of May passed by in a haze, but for Yoon-Yi and Shin every moment was one of pure bliss. Upon hearing the news, Jung-Hee and her brother were ecstatic as well and they congratulated the happy couple. This happiness was doubled when Kim Jong-Seo called Shin the next day after his declaration in order to give his approval.
Another reason to be happy was Shin's decision to take the military examination. After Kim Jong-Seo told him about the adoption document, Shin felt it was his duty to uphold the family's honor. That meant he was now supposed to do something with his life, strive for a place at court and get a better standing in society.
