Yoon-Yi was just admiring a prettily decorated lantern, which dangled right above a stall. The rest of her companions were behind her, when a mass of people gushed through their small group like a wave. It split them up, pushing them in different directions. She heard Jung-Hee yelp and Jun-Ho cry out in indignation. Shin was nowhere to be found. Turning on the spot, she tried to force her way through the mass of people, but they were too many and came too strongly at her. The lanterns they were carrying made it even more difficult to walk past them.
With fear rising in her chest, Yoon-Yi realized that she was all alone in an unknown place, with no way of getting back home. Well, perhaps she could ask someone as soon as the streets cleared, but her brain could not think that far ahead at that moment. The only thing she could think about was the bubbling panic that threatened to engulf her senses.
