Before Yu Yeong was able to respond, Jun pulled him closer. It was a fierce hug, meant to convey all of Jun's feelings of desperation.
"Just stay alive. I don't want you to go. Promise you won't leave me." Jun pleaded softly.
It was strange to hear the usual gruff and confident Jun sounding so weak. Yu Yeong almost couldn't believe his ears. Even so, he couldn't ignore the other man's words and act as though he didn't hear them.
"I can't make that promise, Jun. I'm sorry." Yu Yeong replied in a very low voice.
It was just a little more than a whisper, but Jun caught the other man's words clearly. Their meaning cut through Jun's heart like a steel blade, ruthlessly and painfully twisting inside his chest.
The meaning behind Yu Yeong's words, as well as the man's apology, gauged a huge hole inside Jun's heart, one that Jun was sure would never heal ever again.
