Yu Yeong's eyes flew wide open. When he turned to look behind, he saw Chief Monk Namsang staring at him. A benevolent smile hung on the man's lips and his eyes gazed with warmth at the young man. Chief Monk Namsang's current expression somehow made him look both old and young at the same time; as though he was an immortal being people usually pray to for blessings and guidance.
"Master Namsang, how come you're here at this time of day?" Yu Yeong greeted the man, his own lips pulling upward into a gentle smile.
"For some strange reason I had a sudden urge to take a walk just now. Coincidentally, I saw you standing here by the tree." Chief Monk Namsang replied calmly.
He took a few steps closer, stopping right next to Yu Yeong. He titled his head, and stared up at the ginkgo tree.
