Xiao Yi immediately went to Li Zheng Yu's office by a taxi. There was no time to save. The most important thing right now was to make sure the man had not retracted his words. Afraid if the offer was no longer valid.
A towering building was before Xiao Yi's eyes. There were doubts when she wanted to enter but if she thought about Fang Yin who wanted to sell herself just because a house, it made her frustrated and had a headache.
Her steps were heavy and her heart beat so fast as she stepped inside about to ask the receptionist who was on guard.
"Excuse me, can I meet Mr. Li Zheng Yu?" Xiao Yi asked courageously.
"Did you have an appointment with Mr. Li?" asked the receptionist.
"Ah, not yet. But right now it is critical. We are close neighbors and his daughter is very close to me. Just tell him my name is Xiao Yi," the girl csaid asually. Confused about having to explain the reason for meeting him.
"Okay, I'll contact his secretary first," the receptionist said. The woman immediately picked up the telephone that was nearby.
"What if that man doesn't need me anymore? What should I do?" Xiao Yi muttered as she lightly smacked her head. Did not expect to be trapped in such a complicated situation.
"Miss, let me take you to Mr. Li's room. Actually there is a meeting but you can wait in his room. It might be that the meeting will be over soon," the receptionist said.
Xiao Yi smiled faintly as she nodded her head. Hopefully the man finished the meeting before it was too late.
"What is your name?" Xiao asked the receptionist. Didn't feel right if they were together but without talking.
"My name is Lien-hua," she said.
"You said you are neighbors but why do you have to go to his office?" Lien-hua asked.
"That's because we rarely see each other at home. He's a very busy man," Xiao Yi said nonchalantly.
"It's true, sometimes even he brought his daughter to work," Lien-hua explained.
"Doesn't he have a wife? How old is he? He seems like a grown up man." Xiao Yi wanted to find out more about that man. Even though Fang Yin had said it before, Xiao Yi didn't really believe it.
"That's right, Mr. Li is indeed a single daddy."
"He must have been abandoned by his wife because he was so annoying," Xiao Yi sneered. Who would love to live with a man who was too perverted.
"What are you saying?" Lien-hua asked because she could only faintly hear Xiao Yi's words.
"It's okay. Just forget whatever you heard," Xiao Yi said.
"Can I ask you something?"
"As you please," Lien-hua said.
"How old is your boss? He seems like a grown up man," Xiao Yi said.
"He's 45 years old but it feels like his face still looks young," said Lien-hua while cupping her own cheeks because she also felt impressed with her boss.
"Huh, 45? How old is he," Xiao Yi sneered with a flabbergasted face because she was quite surprised if the man turned out to be old. Even though she thought he had not yet reached the head of four.
"Mr. Li is not old though, but he is more mature," Lien-hua argued. Didn't agree if her boss was considered old.
It didn't take long before they arrived at the 10th floor of the office building where Li Zheng Yu's room was located.
"Mr. Li told you to wait here," Lien-hua said as she opened Li Zheng Yu's room.
"Thank you," Xiao Yi said.
Lien-hua immediately returned downstairs to continue her work again.
Xiao Yi threw her body on the sofa because her legs felt tired after a day of walking to and fro with no direction.
"He took so long," Xiao Yi muttered after waiting for half an hour. She even felt bored because of the long wait.
Xiao Yi only hoped that that damn loan shark hadn't visit their house yet.
Checkek….
The door opened quietly so that Xiao Yi who was lying on the sofa didn't hear it.
"Hmmmm."
A sound instantly made Xiao Yi startled and adjusted her seat and combed her messy hair. Suddenly Xiao Yi's current feelings became very nervous.
"Sorry if I bother you." Xiao Yi looked down, tried to be polite even though she was actually very lazy.
"It's very unusual for you to come to my office. Is there something very important?" Li Zheng Yu asked after sitting on his proud chair.
