Knock… knock… knock
There was a knock on the door from outside. Even though she didn't want to meet anyone.
"Miss, are you awake?" Ling Zhi's voice outside was accompanied by a knock on the door.
"I'm awake," Xiao Yi replied briefly then took the blanket on the sofa to cover her head.
Blanket? As far as she remembered, last night Xiao Yi slept without wearing a blanket. Maybe it was Mei-Yin who had covered her body.
"May I come in? It's already noon, you better eat first," Ling Zhi called back.
Xiao Yi took a deep breath then opened the door with the blanket covering her face. She felt embarrassed if Ling Zhi found out that she was crying.
"Why did you bother bringing it here? I can come down to the kitchen if I'm hungry," Xiao Yi grumbled.
"Do you have a fever?" Ling Zhi asked.
"No, I'm fine. Don't bother me today because I want to sleep all day," said Xiao Yi.
