"Then answer me this," Tre quickly grab her right hand before she could react and slapped it off. "Why…are we two devoted?"
Rue exhaled a slight giggle. "No. Tre, you know it is not like what you think. We are always just friends."
"Uh-huh, friends. Really Rue, are we just that?"
"We will not be friends when we get home."
"Again, I am exhausted about you saying that."
"Well, then leave our status as friends are."
Except Tre was not sure he could let Rue go easily. And Rue does not know that her emotions towards Tre were love.
