"It was a tough battle, but we finally won!"
Arthur said with a sigh of relief as he looked at the queen that had already fainted on the ground. She was still alive, but her condition wasn't the best.
If not treated soon, there was even a chance of her dying.
For a moment, Arthur pondered whether he should catch the queen or not. After all, she was really powerful and he already knew that a Beedrill with proper training can do wonders.
The example was Giovanni's Beedrill in the manga.
With proper training and resources, Beedrill was able to master mega evolution and become Giovanni's ace. That was enough to define the immense potential a Beedrill can have.
But after thinking it through, Arthur decided against capturing it.
There were generally two reasons behind this. First was the lifespan of a Beedrill.
Bug Pokemon evolve faster than any other Pokemon and it also meant that their lifespan was generally short. Beedrill only had a lifespan of 15 years and he was sure that the queen was already over 10 years old.
Even if he captured her, he won't be able to use it for a long time and it would just be a waste of time and resources.
Moreover, it was hard to say that the queen would actually listen to him. He had killed several Weedles and Kakunas, and the queen already bore a deep hatred towards him.
It won't be weird for her to immediately attack him after recovering. This was also the second reason and that's why he decided against capturing the queen.
With that set aside, Arthur called Charmander back in his pokeball and started walking towards the junction between Beedrill territory and Pinsir territory.
He was pretty sure that the other Beedrills would find the queen and she would be able to survive. That's why he didn't think too much about her and focused on Charmander.
After the battle with the queen, Charmander was severely injured and it would take him at least two days to heal with proper rest and medicines.
Arthur had to wait for him to recover before moving towards the Scyther territory which was also his end goal in the Viridian forest.
He decided to use these two days as a break for Charmander and Mankey. Both of them have done well in their training and he was quite satisfied with the results of their training.
Currently, both of their statuses were like this.

Mankey had reached level 16 and while gaining a new level, he had managed to learn a new move which was 'Bulk up'.
It was a pretty powerful move which increased both his attack and defense in a battle by one stage and Arthur was quite happy with this new move.
As for Charmander, he had reached level 17 after defeating the queen and his ember attack had evolved into fire burst which was a way stronger fire type attack than ember.
Sometimes, some weaker moves will automatically evolve into a more powerful move after a level up and the same thing has happened with Charmander's ember attack.
Arthur was quite happy with this outcome and he even felt that Charmander was quite close to his evolution.
Aside from these two Pokemon, his Murkrow was also doing quite well.
His injuries were gradually healing and it wouldn't be too long before Arthur would be able to use him in a battle. His aptitude in his status has also been getting his colour back and soon, it will be the same as before.
At the same time, Murkrow has also warmed up to Arthur and his other Pokemon. He had already dropped his suspicious nature in front of them.
It was mainly because of the food and care Arthur had given him.
Living in the Viridian forest alone had made Murkrow value food more, especially tasty food. That's why, when he ate Arthur's food, he was entranced.
After that, he completely warmed up to him in a matter of days.
Seeing that, Arthur firmly believed that food was the best way to tame a Pokemon and make it loyal. No one in the world can resist tasty food!

After two days, Arthur finally started moving again.
He finished up his breakfast and had a look at his Pokemon's condition before packing up his stuff. Then, he started moving towards the Scyther territory with Charmander at his side to protect him.
The only Pokemon he wanted from the Viridian forest was Scyther.
But they lived in the core region of the Viridian forest and to reach that place, he had to pass through the Beedrill territory and go through the territories of some other Pokemon species.
The more he goes close to the core region, the stronger the Pokemon will get.
Still, he was confident that he would be able to catch a Scyther for himself.
With that confidence, he started walking through the Beedrill territory. It would have been dangerous before because every single one of the Beedrill was after his neck, but it is different now.
Arthur even felt that the territory seemed empty as he walked through it.
It was due to the fact that he had defeated the queen — The strongest Pokemon of the region.
No Beedrill would dare to attack him after knowing that and due to that, it was an easy walk throughout the whole Beedrill territory.
After an hour, he was out of the Beedrill territory and then, from there, it was a straight path that led to the area where Scythers lived.
'I will be able to reach it in two days.'
Arthur thought as he held the map in front of him.
At that moment, a loud voice entered his ears.
"Are you one of the new trainers from Pallet town?"
