Chapter 61 - Wang and Rui

"Ho ho ho, young ones are really lively," an old man with a white+beard dangling below his waist chuckled lightly, he watched the projection of an ethereal screen viewing a bird's eye scale of the entire Divine Inheritance Island.

"Ack! Ahhh…"

"Yue'er, be careful!"

"I'm sorry grandpa…"

The old man turned around from the projection screen and walked towards the six-year-old girl who tripped over a certain object.

Surprisingly, the object was an earth-grade defensive treasure, it had actually rolled over from the pile of treasures in a corner of the room.

The old man waved his palm, his long white sleeve shooting out a brilliant radiance of golden threads that helped the girl back to her feet.

"Remember what grandpa told you?"

"Mhm! Yue'er will be a good girl and won't leave the old tree!"

"Good good." The old man nodded approvingly, waving his palm once more, a gust of wind condensed into a beautiful tapestry underneath Yue'er, allowing her to watch the projection of those outsiders.

As the young girl watched with enthusiasm and a hint of loneliness, the old man ghostly disappeared from the room, he could only lament and blame the strings of fate for what happened to his Master.

'Celestial God Palace, you lot have bathed in endless vanity for countless years, but my Master's will is returning…'

The old man thought to himself, his mind flying back to hundreds of thousands of years where he remembered the wishes of his Master.

"That pink hair girl is a lunatic…"

"Shut up! Do you have a death wish? That's the young daughter of Monarch Houtian from the Core Continent!"

"Mm? What does that mean?"

"You've been living under a rock, haven't you? Come here!"

"Ah-"

Before the bewildered martial artist could finish speaking, his friend led their flying treasure to a relatively remote corner before activating a soundproof array.

These two came from a renowned family that inhabited a good land within one of the Peripheral Continents.

They were originally a party of six. Alas, with a few twists of fate, their senior and their apprentice brothers perished.

The confused martial artist was at the early stages of Twilight Realm whereas his companion was at the late Twilight Realm.

After the sound conceal formation was active, the older one of them began to explain.

"For some unknown reason, the Island prevents those who have the Imperial Family's bloodline from entering. Therefore, the Imperial Family frequently commands the army to act in search of inheritances… The Martial Law under the Imperial Family consists of different divisions and pavilions."

"Other than the top 3 sects, the Martial Law is the strongest force under the Imperial Family in terms of influence! That pink hair girl is the daughter of Monarch Houtian, one of the powerhouses that supervises an entire division! If I was to make a guess, that Pagoda must belong to his division and his daughter requested to go out for experience…"

The older martial artist tried to explain meticulously, but because his information is superficial and lacking, his junior-apprentice brother only felt more confused.

Seeing the expression of his junior-apprentice brother, he felt helpless.

"Never mind, just know that when facing people like them, you have nine chances to die and one chance to live! And living might even be worse than death!"

The older martial artist decided to be decisive and give a blunt warning, saving himself the trouble.

Seeing how solemn his senior brother is, the youth paled lightly. But, whenever he remembered how cheerful that pink-haired girl was, he couldn't bring himself to think she was dangerous, they're probably only ruthless towards monsters...

...

Inside the three-layered pagoda, the teenage girl tiptoed happily as she hummed her favorite song, her slender hands dangling by her side as she made her way towards the third floor.

Behind her was the thunder characteristic Martial Artist and by either side of them was a row of maids who held out plates with spiritual fruits and herbal tea.

"Young Master, please replenish your energy with this spiritual tea, the main ingredient is a 400-year-old rainbow leaf,"

One of the maids stepped forward, carrying a pot of tea that leaked a colorful vapor.

The young man ignored the maid's proposition and followed after his junior sister, only his cold voice resounded a moment after.

"Send someone to collect the Monster Core of that Leviathan. Furthermore, find a flying treasure with two Martial Artists on board, it should have recent traces of an array activation, make sure to mark the two owners of that treasure for us to handle them later on the Island."

The young maid who offered the tea wasn't dejected by the cold treatment. Rather, her cheeks had an odd shade of crimson on them as she was publicly humiliated in front of her peers.

The Leviathan was a peak fourth-order monster, the core of such a monster is worth a fortune, not to mention how useful it is for water attribute martial artists and their cultivation.

....

"Hehe, I heard there will be more cute beasts on the island!" The pink-haired girl said, she now climbed on a wooden stand in a lotus position, in front of her, five Eclipse Realm experts kneeled down.

They had their heads bowed down in awe, not daring to look directly at her, even as she rolled up the sleeves and curtains of her robes, exposing her soft arms and adoring legs.

"Junior sister Rui, don't be reckless on the island," said the young youth who followed after her.

He looked ordinary with black long hair and dark eyes, everything about him seemed ordinary except for his bloody temperament.

He said, "Although it is called an Island, the array encasing it is mysterious and profound. The information dictates that the Island is a sealed space as large as the core continent. The only difference is that this Island is inhabited by intelligent Monsters."

"I know I know, save me from the boring lecture, senior brother Wang! Ahhhhh! Uncle Liu is so damn adamant about breaching this place. No, my grandfather said that ever since the Liu family became the Imperial Family, they have been so desperate about this disgusting place! Yuck!"

Senior Brother Wang couldn't help but sigh, looking at the five subjects kneeling in front of junior sister Rui, he couldn't help but chuckle.

Each one of them was trembling with fear, they didn't want to hear something they shouldn't, otherwise...

"You five, something the matter?"

"Reporting to Young Master Wang! No sir!"

Bzzzt...

Suddenly, the subject who answered could hear the faint twisting noise of an electric torrent. From the shockwaves, he could judge that this was Young Lady Rui's purple thunder.

"How dare a pig like you cease my worship to answer another man?"

Her cold, indifferent voice suddenly rang into his ears like the bells from the afterlife, causing his muscles to stiffen.
