"You want to go to the Core Continent? With your garbage twilight cultivation? Have you finally lost your mind?" Arima asked in disbelief before bursting into reverberating laughter.
"Hahahaha! Do you honestly think this trash cultivation method will be of any use to you? Hilarious!"
Seeing Arima's frantic laughter, Noire narrowed his eyes, not understanding what's so funny.
Eyeing Noire's confused look, Arima laughed even more maniacally. Suddenly, some distress began to bud in everyone's heart, save for Noire.
"Forget about the Core Continent, this Shadowed Demise Continent is the worst one of the entire five peripheral Continents! Everything here is garbage compared to the adjacent Regions of this realm, much less the Core of it!"
Arima pointed a finger at Noire as if he was pointing at an idiot. But in reality, he was pointing at Anastasia.
"Just because this bitch almost died to a crap-ass cultivation technique, that doesn't make the technique powerful, it just highlights how shitty the power scale here is! Hahaha!"
"Enough! Elaborate yourself." Noire was growing impatient and uneasy, what did Arima mean? and how does he know so much?
Suppressing his laughter but maintaining a grin of ridicule on his face, Arima said, "Your so-called 'power' is just the accumulation of Qi Essence. In fact, this lackluster place has always been short on combat cultivation methods and resources. That 'Golden Crow' technique is missing 7 out of its original 9 layers, yet it almost wiped that bitch from existence!"
"Outside there, forget this garbage technique, even a well-established martial artists family has enough heritage to pass down at least one full cultivation method, let alone proclaim a mere 3 layers as the 'strongest' technique."
"It was only flashy because that idiot Kami poured his entire cultivation base into a single, incomplete, garbage attack. If he had the full 9 layers, he could exert double the power with about 20%, or at most 30% of his Qi Essence."
Hearing his explanation, Noire wasn't dishearted but rather became a little more comprehensive.
Thinking about it like this, the prowess displayed in the great war looked like something otherworldly in comparison to the power martial artists displayed here. At first, Noire thought the credit belonged to the heritage of that mysterious Great Elder, but now it seems that this place is simply lacking.
Hearing Arima's explanation, Anastasia grew pale.
If what Arima said is true, then her value would decrease dramatically in Noire's eyes, she can only hope he wouldn't throw her aside after learning this.
Luckily for her, Noire was thinking about something else entirely...
Noire said, "If it's incomplete then forget about it... I still need the flying treasure and the cultivation resources, however."
"You..." Arima was speechless.
"Do you even realize what you're doing? Once you get inside there, if you can't immediately find support, sect, or shelter, you're doomed to die! Do you have a death wish?"
"I have no death wish, but I also have no time to spare. I'll wait here for five hours, if you're not going to provide me with the resources I'll get them myself."
Arima suddenly felt alarmed, 'did he see through me?' Arima thought to himself.
He knew Noire is smart, but he doesn't know to which extent. If his guess is remotely close to correct, this might prove troublesome.
Swallowing the doubts in his heart, Arima asked, "You'll just wait here? As in, right in this spot?"
Noire smiled in response, not interested in stressing out Arima and his weird ideas.
Although Noire isn't sure why, but Arima has something that he doesn't want Noire to see or find.
Or, it could be that Arima was on guard against anyone who has enough strength to contend with him to tread into his Palace.
Either way, Arima did provide some valuable information. Thinking of this, Noire's mind stirred and he got an idea.
"Depends, what do you know about the Divine Inheritance Island?" Noire asked, still maintaining that smile.
'Fuck! He knows! Fucking hell...' Arima cursed inwardly as he grit his teeth.
"Too much bullying!" Arima gnashed his teeth.
This type of information was very classified, it was the type of information that Arima would usually sell to humans.
For example, the remaining aristocratic families.
Now, not only is Noire getting the information for free, but he's asking for resources and the only human-grade flying treasure within the boundaries of the Shadowed Continent, how can Arima remain calm?
"Relax," Noire suddenly said. "How about this, you will send someone from your people who will drive back the treasure once we reach our destination, that should be satisfactory."
"Ha! Do you think I'm a 3-year-old child? Do you honestly believe that one of my subordinates can operate a flying treasure by himself? Even if that was the case, what if they were to meet an unfortunate encounter?"
"..."
Noire said nothing in response, this is as far as he's willing to compromise.
Little did he know that Yinfer was already thinking about killing that subordinate when the time comes.
After a moment of silence, Arima said, "Divine Inheritance Island, huh..."
"If I'm not wrong, the island is a large congregation point for talents from all over the Realm, including talents from the Core Continent. The entire Island is encased in a large ancient array that even a peak celestial can't break, and it is a self-sufficient array that feeds on heaven and earth energy to supply itself. The array has a special feature to block anyone with a higher cultivation base from the Eclipse Realm, only exception is monsters."
"Because of that, many young talents use the Divine Inheritance Island as a place of experience and seeking opportunities. Of course, that is not all, there is also the Evergreen Tree, which is said to be a tree 1000 meters high, and that tree is the heart of the Island and the array."
"It is also said that this tree contains the soul fragments of Powerful Elders and their cultivation methods. In fact, many top sects and families send off their juniors to obtain these cultivation methods."
"Here," suddenly, Arima pulled out a plain-looking jade slip and tossed it over towards Noire.
"This has a general idea about that damn place. I guess you can consider yourself to having a natural advantage due to your weird bloodline, but that's only when you're up against monsters."
"I know," Noire nodded, clenching the jade slip in his hand before shooting a glance at both Anastasia and Yinfer.
Anastasia smiled anxiously, fearing that Noire might cast her aside. However, when she noticed him nod, she finally relaxed.
On the other hand, Yinfer seemed more relaxed, she was fully deep in thoughts.
'If what this lizard said is true, then if the Ancestors built a palace on that Island...'
