As Emma started to cook porrage,Luke got up and went to take a shower. Devistated by the loss of his father, he was unsure to leave his house for the time being. After the cool and refreshing shower he went to the living room and saw Emma sitting near the dining table, playing her phone.
Having mixed feelings about all the things going on. Emma was the only person whom he could depend and lean on. However, the problem was that he still didn't know whether she was caring him out of pity or because she actually cared about him. He realised that he yet he didn't explain why he attempt to suicide nor tried to talk her out of it.
Emma saw Luke standing in front of the living room door. She gave a glance at him but he was daydreaming so he didn't respond. Emma called out Luke's name and he returned to his senses, " Hey, come over here. The porridge is ready." Luke walked into the dining room and sat in front of the bowl of porridge.
Emma sat on the seat in front of him and kept staring at him while he was eating." Do you like it? or does it taste bland?". emma asked. " No it's fine."
After he finished eating Luke looked at Emma and explained . " I.....I'm.. sorry about what happend before few months. I... i... didn't know what to do at the moment. Everything stated to collapse when I discovered she was pregnant but the child wasn't mine." Emma shocked hearing his words, didn't know how to react. " She cheated on you?!. why didn't you say a word to me than."
Luke continued his story. " I was not in the right mind to talk to anyone at that time. My whole world started crashing down. I didn't think things though. After few days later she came with devorce papers and threw at my face. That time I had completely lost it. We argued for a long time and when she started to hit me , I almost pushed her back."
"I thought I might hurt her child if I loose control on my anger so I just gave up and signed the papers.."
" Luke. you went all through this and didn't care to explain why you did that all this time. I knew that you got devorced but I what didn't know was, why you both did that. I mean... you and Sherly..... you both looked so close and loving. Also am I not your friend. why did you keep it away from me all this time?!"
