Chapter 6 - Impossible means no one has ever done it before

Nash's POV,

I sat on my bed wondering how Jesse might ruin my life in here considering that she saw through my trick, didn't expect that someone as good as her will be here.

I opened my diary and started writing what happened today using the pen this place gave us.

Upon finishing I accidentally dropped it on the floor revealing a page where an entry made after my parents and brother died.

Flashback to 6 years ago,

My parents, my brother and I were having a picnic at a grassy hill. We were having so much fun back then. Me and my brother were playing catch that day, I remember him getting hit and having weak throws despite him being a more masculine person than me.

I got tired and sat beside my dad and starts asking weird questions to him but he answered some of them.

"Hey dad, do you think every human should be equal?" I asked

"In my own opinion yes, we should treat each other with respect the same way we treat higher ups but unfortunately most of the people doesn't want equality instead they want to be one step higher than anyone else."

"But what if it is a drunkard addict we are greeting? is he still counted with equality?" I ask

"I never thought of that before but you do have a point besides what I said a while ago is just my personal opinion." Dad replied

"Oh look your brother is juggling."

That was the last pep talk I had with my dad; I know it doesn't really make sense but after what happened to them, the idea of treating people depending on who they are is still better than equality.

Going back in the present, I stayed in my room waiting for 6:00pm to hit since that's probably the time when dinner will be prepared.

I laid down the bed and waste the remaining 6 hours of my time sleeping.

'Those who are on top should fall and those who are below them should go up'

5 hours later I woke up and look at the clock and notice that my sleep didn't reached 6 though I may have the energy again the explore this building.

I went out my room and didn't bother asking Arthur or Belle for companion cause things would likely go smooth if I go alone.

I went upstairs in the kitchen at the door in the cafeteria and there I saw the guy who I suspected is the culprit of the murder that happened; I stared at him for a little longer while hiding behind a cabinet, there I notice that he is cooking something but its weird the fire is color green instead of orange.

I accidentally leaned a little to forward that it almost made the cabinet fall fortunately the guy stopped it from falling.

"Oh its you the crazy right." he said with a ordinary smile plastered on his face

"What do you mean crazy?" I asked

"You accused me of murder boldly in a room filled with weirdos." he replied

Why am I freaking out about the face of this guy especially his smile and the eyebags on his eyes being too deep.

"Still that's not enough to accuse me of something."

His smile didn't wear off but he shifted his attention from me to the meat he is cooking.

He hold the oil bottle upside down and opened it. Oil quickly flows out of the bottle making a huge green fire reaching half of his arm.

I pushed him but he only looked at me weirdly.

"What the hell are you doing??" He asked

"the whole of your arm would get burned if I hadn't pushed you away." I pointed at his right arm and notice that he didn't receive a single burn though his jacket got fried a bit but his hand is completely fine.

"How the hell?? The fire?!?!"

"Oh the fire!" He sound enthusiastic and started doing his smile again

"I dropped a bit of copper sulfate to make it green didn't expect that someone who accused me of murder wouldn't know that." He stared at me with the same smile still on his face, this orange head dude surely is scary if you look at him straight in the eye.

"Not the fire I mean how did your hand not burned; half of your arm is consumed by it that's impossible!!" I exclaimed

"The word impossible doesn't imply that something cant be done; it simply means that no one has ever done it before."

Those words... I somehow enjoy hearing it.

"But if you want to know how I did it, it is somehow related to aerogel." He stood up and put his steak on a plate.

"By the way Mr. Crazy, my name is Jonathan."

He left me in the kitchen still thinking over his words, I know its weird to think that its inspirational especially that he is the only one in this building that connects to that murder.

Just who is he???

I came out of the kitchen and saw him eating alone on the table near the corner. I sat near him and ask a couple of things related to the murder.

"Was it you who did murdered the guy from yesterday?" I asked

"You already know the answer and yet your asking."

I didn't expect such answer so it left me speechless for a while but something struck my mind, How can he act normally knowing he just murdered someone.

"How did you solve the case anyway?" He asked

"The pattern of blood I found with your things matched the way the victim's injuries."

"That's great Mr. Crazy or should I call you sherlock? No that wouldn't fit Moriarty would be a character closer to you." He said

"I have a name and its Nash."

Moriarty is indeed a good character, a person who does evil things just because his bored of his life.

"Why Moriarty?" I asked

"The way you can speak so boldly about murder, you sound tempted or rather bored that you would just do things recklessly even if you die."
