The sky was red, redder than the crimson blood that flowed on the ground. The breeze carried a hint of death in it. A man was on his knees from horrible wounds, but if seen carefully in his surroundings there were bodies worse than his. In front of this man were people with medieval-style armors and robes.
Ace Bryant while chuckling spoke to the people in front of him.
"huhu Who would have thought that the man who killed the constellations will be killed by some measly apostles"
The man who wore silver armor spoke in a mocking tone
"Ace why don't you do us a little favor and give us the gem of the end and in exchange I will give you a quick death"
"No way, would I ever give that thing to a sucker still wet behind the ears"
The man kicked Ace's stomach with a kick
"You bastard"
with the impact, Ace coughed up some blood.
Ace said to him while wiping the blood from his mouth.
"even if you take it won't help you anyway. I have already activated it and it wouldn't work even if you kill me"
Then suddenly a white light started illuminating the surroundings and engulfed Ace. A voice started speaking.

"Use time-reversal"
[Attention host doesn't have enough understanding of the law]
"Hmm."
After pondering for some time, he spoke. "then, send my most horrifying memories to the past."
[Initiating command in 15,14...]
While the countdown was going on, Ace was contemplating his memories before this everything started. His childhood was nothing special. His family was upper-middle-class at most. His father was a businessman and his mother was a housewife and he, he was their pride and joy.
He was the sole child but was never lonely as he had some friends. He was very interested in history and after graduating from college with a master's in history, he started teaching in college as a professor.
But one day it came down. Yes, that damn tower. It gave tasks to humanity on Earth. After the tower made its appearance some people became mad, some depressed, and some still, coping with the situation but most of them were dead because of the sudden appearance of monsters. After humanity completed the tasks they were transported into the tower.
Where the shocking truth came to light that this was all done because of Constellations. They wore monikers that hid their real names which were similar to what we know as gods. The existences that were known to every man but weren't confirmed. They were fighting for a throne in the tower. The tower was known as Obelisk from the natives living in it. The constellations of Christianity, Greek, Egyptian, Indian, Buddhist, etc fought for it. All the virtues they represented crumbled in front of the throne.
People had to climb the tower to survive. They got power like mana, ki, and psyche which were given by the tower.
In this situation, Ash lost many people close to him. His parents and friends. But because his brother-like friend Ryan was still alive, it gave him some hope and peace which did not last for a while. After losing everything which he loved he came across a person, no, the designation 'person' was too much for that giant figure but contrary to his expectations that giant figure was friendly. but he was also lost to them. With rage flooding him and with the power given to him from the giant figure, he started fighting against the gods but in the end, lost.
Now, with the countdown almost over he bid farewell to the black space while imagining a new and better world
