"I would like to talk about a serious matter, Madam President."
"...Oh?"
She got her interested, Sarafina keeps quiet, her hands still resting upon the President's palm.
"...Care to tell me about how serious that is?"
The secretary originally plans to dispose of such issues before she reports it back to the President, but there's just no luck finding the girl after that said gamble earlier.
"There's a rumor going on that there is a new girl at the academy whom later on got challenged by Madyzon Selinofotรจ. We tried gathering some pieces of information after lunchtime, but there's just no luck finding the girl. Madam President, I have no information about her, I never got informed that there's a new transfereeโ"
"Sarafina," The President cuts her off. "Please relax yourself." The secretary paused and looked down, embarrassed.
"I'm afraid that's my fault. There is nothing for you to worry about. " The other Council members are just as confuse as Sarafina is. What is the President even talking about?
"I personally sees to it, that I should be the one handling her application documents. I hope you don't mind me filling in for your job just once, Sarafina." had said the President.
The Vice President then handed her a hardbound booklet. Sarafina doesn't know what the booklet contains, but she sure is familiar with the hardbound cover that indicates the academy's crest. "Please, open it would you Sarafina? I want all the remaining doubts to vanish from this council." The President insisted.
The secretary unfolded it, reading through the verification of transfer along with the personal data of the transferee.
"Don't just keep it to yourself Sarafina.
Spill it, Who's the girl?" Maggie couldn't bear the suspense and her excitement any longer.
Sarafina stared at the new girl's photograph. She's attractive, and kind of like the typical high school girl โ Albeit, she can sense that something's odd about the girl's sudden appearance at this time of crisis for the council, not to mention that the President herself took care of her admission to the school. "Her name is Yvera Monaghan of Year two, Medusa class."
"Oh, interesting. She's in the same class as the President and the Vice President, only that she is a second year." Claire responded.
"Hey, Prez, care to fill us in a little bit more? like, why is she in the same class name as you?" Maggie did not beat around the bush anymore, the topic at hand really picked her interest.
The President gave her a coy smile and giggled. "How endearing for you to show quite the interest forthwith for our new school mate Maggie." The President teased.
Sarafina isn't feeling this topic anymore, they're making a big deal out of her enough. So what? somebody transferred, and the President herself personally handled everything for her. Her sarcasm echoed through her mind.
"She's planning to make the girl her next victim, why else could she be showing such transparent interest already?" Claire laid out what she thinks the obvious reason is.
"Well too bad, I cannot tell you more about her. That wouldn't do us any good, and will only obliterate the pleasure of observing how will she manage to fit in and crawl her way to survive, don't you think?" That confirms it. This is just like any other one of her entertaining schemes for the council.
Maggie snickered. "Typical." The Council members settled.
"Well then, Claire, I think I'm ready to take you up on that offer not a while ago. Let's all call it a day, shall we?" The President adjourned the council meeting.
The lounge is now empty, except for the President and her secretary. Doing their own thing as they have the most tiresome job of all; filing in paper works for the council and any other school-related issues.
Sarafina draws her breath as she finishes the last of her pile, feeling the need to stretch herself. Unaware, she yawns and rubbed her eyes โ It is indeed a long day. She looked at the President and became startled once she found the latter's eyes already fixated on her.
"Long day, Sarafina?" The President assumed. The secretary nod, still ashamed that she yawned like that in front of the President. She thinks of a better way to escape the President's gaze for a little while, for she could crumble any moment now.
"I'll make you some tea, President." She excused herself and starts preparing the tea.
Behind her, The President gets up. Sarafina assumed that she'll just sit on one of the sofas like she always does, and wait to savor her tea. This time though, she felt a pair of arms wrapped around her torso. She quivers because of the sudden rush but recovered from it nonetheless.
"P-President...", all of a sudden, she doesn't know how words or breathing works. Deep down though, Sarafina doesn't want her to let go, even if at the back of her mind this is just the President's way of testing her effects on her. She's not one to complain though, there's nothing else she would've wished to see other than this side of the President.
Sarafina thinks, bitting her lip.
"We're alone, you know: it's just the two of us again.", The President says. Her voice ever so unnerving and tempting as always for Sarafina.
"I know..."
"Well, aren't you gonna say something?"
Of course, she distastes that casual atmosphere earlier when they're still finishing the paper works up. It was indeed too calm for her tastes. Sarafina should've imagined it. The President couldn't wait until the council meeting is over, after all, she's been waiting to tease her like this. Heat is rising to her cheeks but she tries to ignore it, with the latter's amusement.
The President hums, "And here I thought the waiting is over." she says. Sarafina feels that she's growing impatient.
"Am I bothering you?", she murmurs.
"No, President..."
The President moves anyways. She presses her chin right on her shoulder. Sarafina can feel her breath, steady and relaxed with an ample amount of desire.
"What's that?", she whispers directly at her ear. The secretary can feel cold shivers all over her body.
"No, Krisearra.", Sarafina says. "You're not bothering me."
"There you go.", she giggled. "Was it so hard, or you really just want to keep me waiting?"
Sarafina doesn't reply and that's an answer itself. Krisearra's smile widens.
"You're just too cute.", she says.
"P-President! I mean, Kri-Kri...!"
Krisearra's laughter is so soft it almost hurts.
"You said it just fine before, what happened?"
She covers her burning face.
"Too cute.", repeats Krisearra.
"P-please..."
She's only making things worse. Krisearra likes teasing her too much. She had to admit though, that she likes being teased like this, not to mention the President isn't like this with any other. Krisearra is the only one who can make her chest ignites.
"Please, let me just finish your tea," Sarafina says.
The scent of the tea grows stronger. If there's one thing Sarafina will never forget of this room, it's the aroma of the tea mixing with every skip of her heartbeat.
Krisearra unclasps her arms around her. It made her heart yelp in disapproval, but it's for the best, otherwise, she'll never finish what she's doing. She wants to give in so badly, and the President will surely drag her to finally get lost in the moment.
She watches as the President backs away slowly, and then suddenly approaching the sofa. "Fine, I guess I can be a good girl for a change," Krisearra says, making herself comfortable on the sofa.
Sarafina finally has the time to breathe. She can't quite figure it out, she and the President shared many moments far more ablazing in the past, but it feels like she's still too unnerved to deal with her.
Quite confident that she got the President's desired taste for her tea, Sarafina joins the latter. "My, my, that didn't take quite long" Krisearra teases. Sarafina removes the dried leaves and pours a cup. She can feel the President, watching her every move intently. She can't help but blush.
"You're rather quiet today, Sarafina." The President contemplated.
"Forgive me, Pres- I mean, Krisearra," she says, offering the cup to Krisearra.
Krisearra chuckles.
She tastes her tea. Her eyes still fixated on the rather fidgety secretary.
"Anyways, here are the reports from both the finances and the Restoration council." Sarafina presented the documents, a lame excuse for something to talk about.
Krisearra hums, but with a hint of annoyance. Sarafina suddenly feels faint.
"Haven't I told you that council-related topics aren't allowed whenever It's just the two of us unless I ask for it?" Krisseara evoked.
"Forgive me." Sarafina held back her breath.
Krisearra spreads her hands, offers her lap. Her mood changed all right. Torn as Sarafina can be, she immediately accepted the President's invitation, for she doesn't want her to be displeased with her.
Krisearra's hand is warm on hers. She's gentle based on what mood she's in, that is. Krisearra's smile brightens as Sarafina gets closer.
The President plays with her hair as she leaves a peck on the secretary's cheeks. Sarafina feels her cheeks burning once more, a little too intense this time. There's a mantra of emotions going on inside her chest, a mess of thoughts in her head. Even if overwhelmed, she feels Krisearra smiling. Her lips are a breath away from her skin.
"T-this-...", Sarafina tries to say.
"This is something we both deserve don't you think?" Krisearra hums.
The President's scent will linger on her clothes until the time it gets to the laundry. It will accompany her 'til she gets undressed.
Krisearra's fingers intertwine with hers. She's shifting her thighs, to pull her closer.
"My most beloved pet.", she murmurs against her neck. She kisses her neck, this time for longer. Shivers run down Sarafina's spine. It feels good enough that Sarafina's almost scared of it.
They're tranquil once again. Krisearra's embrace is warm. She'd like to know what does the President thinks of this, again. She's too afraid to ask though and after allโฆ
"What's on your mind?" Krisearra asks.
"Nothing, just you and this moment." says, Sarafina. Her heart's beating hard. Being able to confess such a thing without fear is wonderful. She feels alive, young, invincible. There's no embarrassment, no shame. It's just Sarafina and the woman who shot herself to feel how painful it was for her two years ago.
"Is that so?" Krisearra replied.
Sarafina feels Krisearra's teeth on her neck. Her voice breaks. Her heart is pounding like crazy, she's ashamed beyond reason: she was almost about to moan. Krisearra hums, she always hums like this, pensive yet ready to take action. She always does it. There's no need to be uneasy.
Krisearra's fingers find her hip. Her grip is strong and steady and Sarafina loves her for it. She also fears it, but she doesn't let herself admit it. Maybe it's normal to be afraid when the person you love the most in the world touches you.
However, Sarafina have no knowledge of the truth about the fear she always feels around the President.
She brushed off the uneasiness and let the moment decides for both of them. The council lounge are filled with complete silence as twilight approaches. The silence made Sarafina's nerves cool down a bit.
It's hard to understand each other. She knows how much Krisearra likes her for it. She also knows how easy it is for them to misunderstand each other, but no matter what, she'll stay with her forever, even if she's just her favorite pet to play with.
She's her relief yet her agony, her poison yet her remedy.
It doesn't matter for Sarafina if she may have not been with her during daybreak, what matters is she now resides within her warm embrace in the thick of twilight.
