King Uriel was raving when Captain Samiel came back into the throne room explaining the situation. As soon as he had busted down the door to find the room empty, he came running back as fast as his legs could carry him in full body armor. Samiel stood quietly to the side of the room as the King paced and ranted. Stopping only to take deep breaths at regular intervals.
"How dare they conspire against me, the King, their King. Even Queen Vera has yet to be found, and all because of that troublesome Seventh Son. I should have slain him myself the moment Yavia had eyes for him," he growled through his teeth. "What I wouldn't give for one more chance to cross paths with that boy."
Just as he had said that, Ares stepped from the shadows in the back of throne room. Eerily smiling and walking casually passed Samiel to stand before the King.
"You wished to see me?" he said sarcastically. "I hope there isn't any trouble my Lord."
"My Lord?!," Uriel raged, gnashing his teeth. "How dare you, you disrespectful little shit. Who do you think you are, a God?"
Uriel sneered at Ares, then looked to Samiel and waved his hand.
"Samiel, kill this wretched boy," the King commanded disgustedly.
Ares smiled and turned to Samiel.
"Do you care to dance?"
Samiel quickly drew his long sword, and in a high arc, slashed it down towards Ares head. This was nothing to Ares as he side stepped the blade at the last moment, causing the blade to hit the floor with a reverberating crash.
"You'll have to better than that Mortal," laughed Ares. "To think that a low class scum like you thinks you have even the slightest chance of killing me is offensive is laughable."
Ares was bating him, and seemed to be working as Samiel shook violently. He charged at Ares screaming with rage, his sword poised to thrust thought Ares' body. Ares had him, he side stepped at the last minute and ran his hand clear through Samiel's body, piercing armor, flesh, and bone with an audible crunch.
Samiel's eyes rolled into the back of his head as his body hung lifeless on Ares' arm. Not wanting to waste this opportunity, Ares absorbed his blood energy, draining every ounce of power from Samiel's soul, and cast the pale body to the side. this body glowed with crimson light as he turned to the King.
"Allow me to reintroduce myself, one last time, you sorry excuse for Mortal scum," Ares said vindictively. "I am Ares, God of Violent Deaths and Bloodlust. And you are my next victim."
The King paled and began sweating profusely. Even if he did not believe this boy to be a God, he had definite power. And that power was dangerous. His time had finally come. Not seeing a way out of this situation with his life intact, the King hung his head low.
"I concede defeat," he said without ever lifting his eyes from the floor.
Ares smiled sheepishly at these words.
"Concede defeat you say? You who would murder a God concedes defeat?," the laughter echoed loudly in the throne room. "I cannot allow that mortal, you will die this day."
Ares moved to approach the King when the door to throne room busted open.
"Ares... I've finally found you," a familiar voice said behind him. Before Ares could turn around, something heavy and hard connected to his skull. Losing consciousness fast, the last thing Ares saw was the floor rising to meet him.
