Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

The lights went on without warning and she quickly shut them because of the blinding brightness. She slowly opened them adjusting to the brightness. The fresh air blew the curtains inside bringing some sort of relief and calmness to her nerves.

She decided to have a shower she didn't feel good but nasty instead.  A lot happened on that day and right now she felt like it had just happened again.

She made a bee line to the bathroom. Reagardless of the fact that it was still  lightning she opened the shower taps and sat under it with her clothes on. The shower steam was like cigarette smoke.  And the water more like the alcohol it self.

"Let go of me ".

"You caused my misery you'll pay for every single little thing ".

"What did I ever do to you".

"You'll find out very soon".

How could it have  been her fault. This was her mother but she placed all the blame on her. It wasn't her fault that she took the wrong decisions in life and now that she was making it that she wouldn't want to see her successful.

"How was all this my fault ".

Eighteen years ago. She was just her age . Smart and always at the top if her class. Had a beight and promising future. Her parents were so proud of her. She wasn't from a rich family but a very humble background. Her mother a house wife and father a gardener and hse was an only child . Had the right family but surrounded by the wrong friends. She hung out with the wrong crew.

She did things like drinking and smoking without her parents knowing.  She would come back home complaining about headaches and other excuses so that she would just go straight to bed without seing them because she would be a little bit tipsy.

He parents  didn't complian . She was a only child and obtained the best marks at school would think taht it was because she wa studying hard when he actual reality was taht she would just wake up,have her food and go back to bed. She was smart wasn't she and so skipping study on some days of the week wasn't a big deal and they wouldn't notice.

Inside school and at home she was well behaved but outside the gates if those two places she would be a totally different . She would chill at the local bar with some of her friends every friday and these friends weren't just normal friends but high school leavers. No one knew of the nights she would run away at home during the night and come back stumbling in the early hours of the day and then miss school.

But in one month , she was seating for her mock exams and suddenly she wasn't ok, running for the bathroom because she was feeling nauseas and didn't think it would be something else until later that month when her mother noticed a few changes in her body two days before her last paper . Her motherly instinct told her that she was really pregnant and that was confirmed in the hospital and that was when everything  came crashing down into pieces.  Her whole life was ruined by this one night she had with a stranger.
