Adaline shouted her voice even louder in hopes that Shem could hear her. At least she could tell Shem something before it was too late, even if she had to die in the hands of her own lover. She would be more willing. Instead of having to die without ever seeing her father or with Shem forever.
"Adaline??! I heard her scream, it sounded ... very far away. Very far from here. How can I join in screaming her name?! My father can hear and can curse me even all my soldiers and people. I can't defend him for now , and I hate this!!" he muttered to himself.
