Jasper stepped into the Hall his anger at what happened here was clearly displayed on his face. The Flames danced on his body and grew in intensity with his emotions. Jasper's gilded fire scorched the hallway as he made his way closer to Flintwood.
When he stepped into a certain range an instinctual sense of fear washed over him. Jasper took those feelings and buried them down as he pushed forward knowing full well the cause those sudden emotions where not his own but forced upon him.
"You damn Legacy holders are the source of so many problems. You think yourselves invincible, you think yourselves as above all, lording around those beneath you, those who cannot fight. Well I'm here now you filthy animal someone who can. Now get back inside your cage before I put you in the ground".
Flintwood's mind was muddled he was already at the edge of the Abyss and every extra second he stayed himself was a desperate fight. In truth, he did not want to fight someone like Jasper because he knew if he did he might become a true monster before he had a chance to die like a man.
Though he did not want this the world does not revolve around what he wants Flintwood knew this truth well. Ready for what's to come Flintwood said to Jasper, "you God's chosen are all the same. you prattle on about this and that but you bring little change. All you do is maintain a crumbling reality on a corrupt world".
Jasper was shocked by this he did not expect Flintwood to reply. "So, you're not completely gone yet, but you're almost there. I wonder how long you have left 5 minutes, 10 minutes, one!? Tis the fates of you Legacy holders to die as the monster you lived or to become a part of the lanshi hoard".
"And it's your fate to die a writhing ball of fire unable to control the very power you wield"
"That is a death I accept gladly it's far better than the alternative becoming an outcast like you having my mind eaten away till even my body is no longer my own". Jasper shouted.
" I find that still better than serving your whole life only to be cast out when you're no longer useful to the crown".
Jasper scoffed, "I can't listen to you any longer there's no way to save your body, your mind, and by the way, you speak ill of the crown no way to save your soul. Just stay still and let me get this over with".
Flintwood bared his Jaws viciously at Jasper. He stepped forward cracking the ground beneath him under the heel of his foot. Flintwood's claws radiated a metallic sheen hungry for blood. With another step Flintwood exploded forward his legs stronger than any hydraulic press carrying him towards Jasper within seconds. Jasper unperturbed ignited his body.
His heart lit a flame the energy course through his body and when Flintwood reached him he struck out.
The resulting clash showed shocking displays of Jasper's might. Flintwood's fingers were crushed under Jasper's knuckles. His forearms snapped and bent towards his elbow as Jasper's fist continue forward and struck Flintwood in the chest.
A stream of Fire burrowed in between Flintwood lungs and shot out his back as he was pushed backwards a few feet. Flintwood took large gulps of air which was hard with his scorched lungs.
Jasper spat on the floor then spoke," do you really think you can beat me. You haven't eaten in days the iron chains have continuously burnt your flash and sapped your strength. Face the facts you don't got much left in you, so stop fighting roll over and die".
With a haggard laugh Flintwood was clearly amused by Jasper's confidence.
"I've been in far worse situations than this boy. I only need half of what I am right now to beat you. So, stop acting cocky it's just going to be worse for you when I win".
The blood Flintwood had floating around him coated his body. It aided his rapid regeneration of his wounds. within moments Flintwood's missing eye and chard right side was restored. His arm was hole and he shouted with a fighting vigor in his voice.
"Come on bring it!".
Jasper accepted Flintwood invitation to battle graciously. Jasper's blazing fist struck Flintwood with Incredible force. The resulting blows crack the hallway they were fighting in but failed to do the same with Flintwood's bones. Flintwood instead matched Jasper blow-for-blow with a devastating weight of a truck behind each one.
"What is that all you got. Where is all that gustow you had a moment ago? ".
Jasper in Anger blazed brighter his feet melted the ground below. The hall glowed red from his brilliance. With an explosive punch to Flintwood's side Jasper force Flintwood into the wall. once their Jasper didn't relent he attacked Flintwood in quick succession.
Each punch was powerful enough to be felt across the whole building he attacked Flintwood dozens of times repeatedly.
Flintwood held his ground his legs embedded into the pavement but Jasper dragged him forward. The first attack on Flintwood's gut rippled through him and broke the wall behind him, the second launch Flintwood away. In a frightening display of strength Jasper tore through the underground hallways using Flintwood's body as a battering ram.
Jasper attacked he did so with all his might but no matter how he struck Flintwood did not break down. Flintwood was starved and his mind was on the cusp of extinguishing yet his body held strong.
Just as Jasper reached out to strike again Flintwood stopped defending. He blocked Jasper's attack with the palm of his hand. The fire he emitted was extinguished with a soft squeeze. Jasper tried to take a step back, but his hand was clasped tightly by Flintwood. With Jasper in his grasp Flintwood clawed Jasper's chest. His finger nails easily slice Jasper's flesh like a sharp knife on a Christmas ham.
As Jasper's vitality scattered out Flintwood sent a stream of his own blood into Jasper 's gaping wound to rip him apart from the inside. Flintwood's blood was vicious it spread like poison but had the bit of a rabid dog. It visibly ate away at Jasper's flash and bones sparing nothing it touched.
Jaspers ribs were eaten away nearly exposing his soft innards. Large bouts of steam hissed out of Jasper's body. His bones glowed red as fire covered his injury. With a mother's warmth, that fire burnt away the bad blood that was invading him. It purified him, boosted his vitality, and visibly reconstructed his chest. Though Jasper no longer had a grievous injury he still was not safe because Flintwood struck again.
From above Flintwood's finger nails elongated. They grew 6 inches longer and glowed with a crimson aura. As they came bearing down from above Jasper felt the shadow of death. He bent low and ducked to the side avoiding Flintwoods attack by a hair's width.
From that attack 4 crimson blades shot out they cut apart both the grounding and the ceiling as they traveled fourth. In the wake of this attack all that was in its path was destroyed. Metal doors where sliced clean in half and prison cells were blown away.
Jasper thanked God that there were few prisoners and guards kept on the lowest level because if there had not been he was unsure how many would have died from that attack.
Jasper did not dwell on this though crouching low to the ground he sweeps Flintwood's leg and sent out a wave a fire towards him. Flintwood jumped above Jasper's attack and struck down at him from above. Flintwood's first grazed Jasper's cheek just as Jasper grabbed Flintwood by the wrist and use his descending momentum against him slamming Flintwood's back on the ground.
While Flintwood was on the ground Jasper twisted Flintwood's wrists and pressed his foot on Flintwood's chest pinning him still. Flintwood struggled which just make Jasper twist and press down on Flintwood even more. With Flintwood locked in place Jasper made a move to end the fight. His veins visibly pulsated with energy as his muscles expanded. Ready Jasper struck down at Flintwood's head with enough Force to destroy his head killing him for good. As Jasper's fist descended Flintwood leaned in forward with his jaw unlatched biting down on Jasper's hand as it came towards him and ripped it off from his arm.
Jasper backed off and screamed pain from the sudden loss of his hand pulsed threw him. Steaming blood squirted from the stub. To stop the blood loss Jasper coated his remaining left hand in fire cauterizing the wound. Jasper grasp his wrist with his remaining hand and stared daggers at Flintwood who he saw joyously chewing on his missing hand before swallowing.
Flintwood's beastie grin was unsettling he licked his lips as he stood up from the ground. Jasper could tell Flintwood was taunting him.
"Well now that was fun and you were mighty delicious. It's true about what you said I couldn't properly fight you I have next to no stamina to properly display any of my real abilities. But that meal you offered me will at least let me show you a glimpse of the gap between us".
Still mourning over the loss of his hand Jasper let out a monstrous roar of his own followed by a torrent of Fire from his mouth. Flintwood conjured a shield of blood the moment he saw the fire blanketing the area come at him. Flintwood was safe from the attack but the surrounding area suffered. Stone turned into molten rock, the iron in the surrounding area glowed Orange, while what ever oxygen was in the area dispersed. With one attack Jasper turn the third level of the underground holding cells into an anaerobic environment.
little oxygen was left on the third level all around him was heat and molten slag. Flintwood knew this situation was dangerous. Not so much for him but Nathaniel because he knew without his power Nathaniel would not survive in this environment for long.
Knowing he needed to end this quickly Flintwood reformed the blood shield into a spear. The intense sudden heat of the environment washed over him. His skin dried in seconds followed by his scales cracking. blooded gushed from the blisters all over him only to be burnt to vapor by the intense heat.
With each step, Flintwood sank into the partly molten floor. Advancing was a difficult task but he did so without pause. Flintwood's spear Jabbed forward parried by Jasper who rose a column of heat under Flintwood's feet.
Flintwood baked alive but instead of succumbing to the heat, he pressed on. Flintwood's thrusts parted the ground as if it were the sea. His attacks where vicious he ripped into Jasper who lashed out in an equally unrestrained manor. Flintwood parried Jasper's vicious blows only to be struck by the stub of Jasper's missing hand.
The two battled fiercely even as the ceiling dripped molten rock on their skin. Their pace did not stop they swung at each other in rage and cleaved each other apart with brutal efficiency. They would not stop could not stop until a victor was decided that's when despite the odds Flintwood receive the upper hand. Flintwood's sluggish body became faster, his blows carried more weight so much that even Jasper buckled under there might, his dry blistered skin revitalize glowing red with energy as he breathed in the toxic fumes around him unaffected by any of it.
Jasper saw this change and it unnerved him because he knew Flintwood didn't just heal himself he completely adapted to the environment. The intense heat had little sway over him now. He fought through it as though it's where a gentle breeze.
With each blow, Jasper's attacks became less effective while Flintwood pressed on even mightier than before. Jasper soon found himself being beaten into the pavement. His bones acked with each descent of Flintwood's spear. With a twirl of his finger, the butt of Flintwood's spear smacked Jasper's chin rocking his brain in his skull.
With Jasper wide open Flintwood sweep his spear across Jasper's stomach spilling out his guts.
Jasper's scrambled to place them back in but Flintwood impaled him on the end of his spear through his heart. with ease, he lifted Jasper off the ground and dangled him in the air as though he were just a fish he just caught.
Jasper struggled on the end of Flintwood's spear. He attempted to break the spear of blood but it would not snap nor boil under his flame. Flintwood had won Jasper knew this but he did not relent. With breath still in his lungs, he did not give up. instead, he looked past the exasperated Flintwood and saw a man. A man burnt beyond recognition strapped down with all kinds of objects.
Jasper did not know this man he knew that's it was a guard by the uniform fused to his flesh he knew that this man was already beyond saving and once he identified what this man carried he knew that this man was conducting a suicide run.
Jasper watched as he struggled, Jasper watched as he snuck behind Flintwood and latched onto his back only to shine brighter in his final moments then he himself ever did in his whole life.
*Boom*
