Zora's eyes widened as she jerked away from him immediately. She wanted to talk back at him but stopped when she saw the head maid finger on her lips, telling her to shut up.
She swallowed back her words and kept her gaze on the floor.
"I'm sorry but I can't do this your highness". She tried not to sound disrespectful but the hate was still vivid in her voice.
"I'm not asking".
Zora looked up at him and saw him smiling so brightly. What did he want with her?
"I'm not so kindhearted". He spoke and he turned. "Fighting for a maid release isn't my thing so you should be lucky I set you free from Corinne's den."
"I'm more than happy and grateful. But I can't do what you're aski... ordering me to do". She tried to calm down. She wasn't used to being polite and imagine sleeping with the prince almost made her throw up.
"Zarinna, I think I need some privacy". The prince told the head maid as he undid his royal robe. The scared head maid bowed slightly and walked out, sending Zora an apologetic look.
"I don't take no for an answer and if you still want your heart beating, move over there". He glanced at the big bed that stood in one side of the room.
"I'm sorry but I can't do this". She was getting annoyed. The man was getting on her nerves and tempting her to cross the line. She had been polite from the very beginning and didn't want to ruin it.
She didn't want to get raped. Of course she would if she didn't comply. She was just a maid and had no right to decline but in reality, she wasn't and she grew up knowing she had every right to refuse what she didn't want. The prince had crossed his boundary and tested her patience enough and she wouldn't stay and watch any longer. Luckily the head maid wasn't there.
"Get over there now".
"I'm sorry Your Highness but I...." Before she could complete her statement, the prince grabbed her and began to undress her. "Excuse me!" She jerked his arms off her dress but couldn't push him away because before she could, he grabbed her arms and pulled her close to his face angrily.
"If you don't comply. I'll tell them to boil you to death so just do as I say". He threatened between gritted teeth and dragged her before tossing her on the bed.
He pushed her back on the bed and came over her as she struggled to get up. He was too strong for her.
Just as he was about to pull her dress up, the door opened and the first prince came in.
"Don't you know how to knock?"
"The king wants to see us." He said, pretending like nothing was going on. "Now". He added, knowing his brother wouldn't stand up until he was done with her. He went out and slammed the door.
The second prince glared at the girl under him and stood up. Without sparing a second, Zora jerked up quickly and ran to the door.
"Don't think I'm done with you. You're still my maid." He spoke without turning to look at her.
"Motherfucker". She snapped, loud enough for him to hear. But the prince who didn't know the meaning just smirked and began to dress back.
She ran as fast as she could and met the second prince on her way. She didn't stop to bow or anything or even thank him. She ran past him to the kitchen, dropping the dress she didn't know she was holding to prevent her from falling. She stopped to catch her breath as krysia left what she was doing and walked to her.
"Are you okay?"
"Got into another prince trouble?" A maid stopped and smirked. "You'll never learn to stay where you belong....I can't imagine how happy it'll make me to see your head rolling on the floor". She said and rolled off before they could give her a response.
"They keep getting on my nerves since morning". Krysia said as she eyed her off. "You got into another trouble? I thought you wanted to thank the prince".
"Of course. But the prince is an asshole".
"What is that?" She asked, quirking an eyebrow. "Is that one of your weird language again?"
"Krysia". She leaned in and whispered. "He almost raped me". Before krysia could scream, Zora covered her mouth.
"Are you serious?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?"
"How did you escape. Don't tell me he had a change of mind."
"Of course not...the second prince interfered. The king summoned them".
"Thankfully".
"Don't thank anything yet. He said he wasn't done.He wanted to rape me in exchange for my release." Her face scrunched up in disgust as she remembered his words. Was she really going to be defiled? In a world that seemed like a nightmare to her?
"He's still going to....oh Lord". She sighed as her head dropped.
"I'm not going to let him". She said, determination written all over her face.
"How? He's a prince and you can't go against his order".
"Then I'll die. I'll rather die than have him rape me".
"Zora.." Krysia dragged, her face dripping into sadness. "I'm sorry. It's all my fault."
"No it's not. It's my fault for looking so pretty". She joked but krysia didn't laugh. She was fighting back her tears.
"No it's my fault. If I didn't tell you to make tea you wouldn't have been sent to the dungeon and the first prince wouldn't have fought for your release. You wouldn't have gone to him to thank him and he wouldn't have used the opportunity to ask you to sleep with him in exch...." She broke down in tears. Zora immediately pulled her into a hug and pet her down.
"Will you two get back to work and stop acting like dummies. You make me sick". Another maid walked past them and she lashed.
"I won't hesitate to rip the hair out of anybody's skull who interferes in our matter again". Zora cleaned krysia's face.
"You're back".
She heard the head maid's voice behind her and turned. "yes".
"Follow me". She ordered and walked to the direction of the small room where she had interviewed them the first day they came.
"Did he touch you?" The head maid asked.
"No".
Her face slammed into surprise as she arched forward. "Why?"
"The second prince interrupted".
"The second prince?"
She nodded. "The king called for them".
She sighed as she relaxed back into her chair.
Zora looked up and stared into her eyes which didn't surprise zarinna again. She was used to Zora's manners now.
"He said he wasn't done. As long as I'm his maid".
"Then so be it. I can't change anything".
"Yes you can. He said as long as I'm HIS maid. Why can't I get transferred to the second prince? I promise I'll behave". She moved closer and touched her hand, trying hard not to break the eye contact.
"It's impossible". She stated and withdrew her hand.
"Why?"
"It would have been easier if he doesn't recognize you to be his maid and have interest in you. If I get you transferred, he's going to have me killed. I'm sorry but I've helped you enough." She stood up and walked out, leaving Zora on the floor.
The head maid was right. The prince had an interest in her already and transferring her to the second prince wouldn't be so pleasant.
She sat down there, thinking of a way out. She didn't want to get raped, especially in a cruel world. She would either get killed or get raped and the only solution she could think of was running away which was impossible. If she had a chance to go back to her modern world, then escaping from the palace was a little task.
Another way she could think of was talking to the second prince. If could convince the second prince to take her as his maid then she'd easily escape from the first Prince's wrath. But it wouldn't be so easy especially when the brothers weren't in good terms.
She had everything to bargain for what she wanted from the second prince and she was going to try out her luck. She was.
