"Let go of me," Riley said, trying to break free from his hold.
"Riley!" he growled.
She yanked her arm off his grip, holding her shoulder in pain, staring at him with furious eyes.
"Riley!" he urged, coming to a step closer once more to touch her.
She took a step backward.
"I said, don't touch me!" she yelled at the top of her lungs making Liam halt his steps abruptly.
His eyes were wide like he didn't expect her to raise her voice like that, she saw it, the shock and she regretted what she did, silently murmuring a mantra of curses in her head, now she's done it!
"I-I'm sorry I just..." she gave a heavy sigh, biting her bottom lip, regret flushed through her like a wave and a dread feeling, she shouldn't have done that.
With one step, Liam was in front of her with an unreadable expression, she couldn't decipher, she was forced to gulp hard.
