RESUME
ORIE'S P.O.V
"Thirty minutes and everything should be dealt with" I replied to West. I looked at Haily who is currently trapping the creatures while Jane is looking for a good timing to touch the creatures. The things is; Jane's ability allows anything to float or get crushed by gravity even without physical touch but the precision isn't the same as when she has physical contact to the target.
"West, what are the updates?" I heard Haily asked but we didn't understand what West said when the ground suddenly rumbled that caused us to fall on our knees except Jane who is floating mid-air. "Ugh! that made me dizzy!" I heard Haily complained. The creatures growled at us when it broke free from the water that's trapping them inside.
"Haily!" I screamed when the nearest creature to Haily was about to jump on her. Good thing that Jane managed to send it flying across the room but that made Jane fell to the floor; must be the weight and pressure. "Jameson and the rest are engaging in battle as well! Our target has someone that seems to have an ability as well!" West informed us through the ear piece. "What!?" Jane reacted as she stood back on her feet and ran towards Haily to help her back up.
I ran back to them to help them up. The three of us stood there while there are still some rumbling happening outside. I charged towards the creatures and used my ability to force them to levitate and surrounded them with gale that is sharp enough to cut through their skin! "Do it now Jane! Haily, help me trap them!" I said as I struggle because the two are fighting back causing to splatter their blood to scatter in the room. The two ran towards me and did what I told them.
I quickly stopped using my ability and looked at the two who is containing the creatures. "I'm going to the rooftop of this building to create a barrier while you two handle this alright?" I asked them as they nodded their heads in response and wished me luck. I ran towards the stairs and look for the fire exit since it would be more dangerous to take the elevator.
"Careful, the intensity seems to be increasing" West reminded us. I found the exit and ran my way up; I almost got to the last floor when another rumbling occurred and I lost my balance and almost fell to the pitfall of the stairs. i heaved out a sigh and climbed myself back up on the rails and took the last set of stairs before opening the door that lead to an open area at the rooftop. Seems like a spot for private choppers to land on.
"I'm at the rooftop now, how's everything down there?" I asked through the earrings. "Hello? This is Danny and we finally caught our target although Hypo is unconscious and the accomplice managed to escape but we got a hold of some information" she informed us. "Good, now head to the hall and help Haily and Jane clean up the mess down there" I said
I was focusing as I stretched my arms sideways and feel the gust of wind surrounding me and expanding. I fell to the ground when an explosion happened. "This is bad news! the creatures merged into one and it's now going berserk!?" West informed us. "West! help them while I create a barrier! Do whatever you guys can to kill that thing!?" I yelled as I immediately stood back up and feel my power surge up all throughout my body and into my palms.
I screamed as I feel the wind expanding; it's draining me! "Orie what's going on there?!" I heard Haily asked with a frantic tone of voice. "Don't rush it! You can't cover something this huge!" Marille scolded me. I can hear their worries and the ruckus that's going on down there. "West is already here and dealing a good deal of a damage! Get your barrier ready any minute now Orie" Jameson reminded me. I motioned my hands in an open palm and stretched myself out to let my ability released faster.
"I'm going there!" I heard Jane yell as I heard her loud foot steps and they didn't even tried to stop her. My head is starting to ache as I feel tremendous pressure coming from the barrier I'm creating. "Just a little bit more" I murmured to myself when I heard the door leading to where I was from suddenly burst open to reveal Jane panting from running all the way here.
"Everyone take cover! this thing will explode!" I heard West yell and the others probably running to different safe places. "Done!" I yelled as I opened my eyes and panting heavily as the barrier I created finally surrounded the whole building we are in. West's voice telling us to hide was the last thing I clearly heard before something caused a huge explosion and I found myself falling as the building collapsed. I opened my eyes to see my worn out clothes but the good thing was that the barrier is holding on despite my current situation.
"Orie! Orie! Hey! Get your act up together and try to reach for my hand!" I heard Jane yell at me so I diverted my attention and tried to do what she is telling me to. I tried to reach for her hands but a huge chunk of cement came between me and Jane that caused us to scatter on opposite directions.
I can somewhat hear the rest calling my name and Jane's but I was too exhausted to identify whose who because of the fatigue I'm feeling this very moment and I'm certain that any minute from now, I would definitely lose my consciousness.
The screams of my friends were the last thing I heard before I felt something enveloped me and lost in the abyss.
