Raizel was innocent, it was as if he was a blank canvas that had no experience, apart from the words of his master, it was as if he had no opinion about a lot of things. He was easily cheated and a lot of the merchants on the street saw him for what he was, a fat white lamb with lots of money to spare.
Leilani used that to his advantage and many 'chance' encounters began to happen between Lucien and Raizel. The wandering cultivator seemed to appear wherever he was and helped him several times. Raizel started to have good feelings for him and his golden eyes would sparkle whenever he saw Lucien.
