The trek to Nereus' Cradle took them past the hidden hallway that they'd slept in, then trekked along until about halfway around the Selkies' Island. They swam for around an hour or so before they saw the edge of the mountainside jutting out.
Technically, they were now in Gorgon territory, but Draxzel's palace was at the other end of their kingdom. Even though the Gorgon's Kingdom was the closest, the Selkies' Island, their version of a palace; was closer.
Selena had suggested that they descend from the top of the Selkies' Island, but Actaeon had told them that the currents were too strong. Like the Great Trench, it wrapped halfway around the planet, and diverted the flow of the ocean. Helping to create the different currents that spanned the globe.
