Draxzel didn't know how to respond at first. Aside from a select group of people, everyone had always wanted far more in return from him because he was a king.
Everyone assumed that his crown meant that he had a mountain of wealth, but that notion was far from the truth. The Gorgons survived because his people were unique. They could travel much farther, and deeper than all of the Aquarian races; even the Sirens.
In the deepest parts of the Great Trench rested a sacred place to them: the Den of the Dracons. Only their priests could go there because only they could withstand the intense pressures.
Not even the Selkies' pressure suits could withstand those depths...
Whenever a Gorgon was born with Depth Sickness, they were taken to a church at the the edge of of the Gorgon Kingdom. It stretched into the Great Trench, and was where the children were raised to be Priests and Priestesses of Leviathan.
