Matt swam towards Levi's feet with incredible speed, but not fast enough to go unnoticed by his target. As he came within range, Levi tried to crush him by bringing his tail down on him. Matt barely avoided it, and only because Serenity had cried out; effectively distracting him.
As he swam back towards his target, Levi shifted his tail so he could swipe at Matt from a sideways angle. His whipped it back and forth like an overexcited child brandishing a piñata stick. Matt couldn't get in close enough to do what he had planned like this..
"Ren! Bait Switch!" Matt screamed to Serenity.
Nodding her acknowledgment, Serenity increased her output. She had never used so much power before, and was also scared of hurting her friend too badly.. But he wasn't leaving her much of a choice.
