The following four years after her initial takeover, everything was going almost exactly how Uranus had said it would. Medeva still couldn't fully access her magic, but the Primordial God had told her that she would have to complete her own set of labors to gain them.
Her first was to poison the Gorgon Princess. The second was to steal the Selkie Queen's pelt. The third was to 'awaken the Deep'. That one was easier said than done..
Medeva wound up having to make deals with the Merfolk Kingdom for explosives, and the Gorgons for labor in the Deep. There was only one specific monster that she was solely responsible for awakening: the Kraken.
Both it and it's baby were sleeping until their time to roam came again, but Medeva changed that. She woke the Kraken by placing an enchanted collar on it. One that could only be removed by either Medeva herself, or 'her exact opposite', as Uranus had put it.
