Matt looked down at the bodies with a sad expression, focusing on Doctor Jaison. He was a good man, despite abandoning his patient. Matt understood that he did it to save his own life, and wouldn't fault him for it.
Reaching down, he closed his eyes, and prayed to whatever gods were listening. Asking them to grant Jaison passage to whatever good place lay beyond the final breath. He had suffered enough the past few years, and deserved to be at peace.
"Ohhh, I moved around too much," Constantine said as he sunk down into the sand.
Matt immediately went to his side as Serenity looked about. She knew that there had been one more Siren left, but didn't see or sense anyone around.. 'Great! They probably swam off to go tell Medeva that we survived..'
"I think that we need to leave, before that Siren comes back with reinforcements," Serenity replied as she swam over to them.
