Serenity looked around the room with an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. Random cold chills kept making the hairs on her neck stand on end, and she felt heavy in the room. It wasn't the pressure of the Deep, but some other kind of force that made her want to leave the room as quickly as possible...
"Which way?" Matt whispered, feeling the same uneasiness as Serenity.
Levi held up a claw, then swam around the room for a moment, sniffing at the various tunnel entrances. He was trying to detect his family's scent, but smelt nothing. Thinking back, he knew that the main tunnel would lead to the center of the den.
It was where all the Dracons gathered to eat, so they definitely didn't want to go that way. The other tunnels led off to other places he knew, but one was new. The place they were in used to be considered the throne room, or the 'Family Room' as the Queen called it.
