It had been over two weeks since the Selkies' Island had been attacked. When the people first found out about them having to have food and water restrictions, riots randomly broke out in each of the kingdoms.
Some of the lords that were used to having an abundance horded the supplies meant for their entire domain. Some only kept a small amount for in case the rations needed to last longer than they were predicting. But others took over half from entire families, and tried to keep it for themselves.
Serenity and Matt quickly passed a law stating that such crimes would have harsh and swift punishments behind them. Several lords from both kingdoms were locked up, and all of their property except their homes, and personal rations were taken.
Over the last weeks, they'd had to dispatch Selena and Constantine to resolve several incidents. From robberies, to vandalism, to odd things..
