"Who is that?" Selena asked with an elevated voice.
Levi was frozen, he was so overwhelmed by her connection to Serenity. Although she wasn't physically there, Gaea's presence was unmistakable, and even those that weren't gods could feel her. As the other mortals lost themselves in her warmth, Serenity and Matt fought the haze.
Matt swallowed hard as he tried to keep his guard up; "Say your name so we know for sure-"
"There is no need to doubt me, King Matthew. I am on your side. That is why Maria shut me out, and chose to be reborn as Medeva."
"What do you mean 'reborn'? Is she still Maria inside, or not?" Serenity asked with a slight strain in her voice.
"I am so sorry, Queen Serenity. But the human side of her is lost. She severed the Fates' String that kept her attached to her human side when she became a Demigod. Her Fates' String here is still attached, but she can never return to her human life."
