I pressed the button and prepared my self as the countdown begun.I made sure to activate every skill I could as well as start gathering mana in my hands.As the leopard formed I gathered mana around my hands forming a shape similar to gloves or gauntlets.I then converted the raw mana into lightning mana and was met with a very welcome message.
[Spell learned:Lightning Touch]
As I activated the spell I noticed something.Any spell I acquired in the system could be activated instantly and automatically so long as I focused on them through the system.So while I did have to put in the work to learn them, but after I did I could activate them anytime I wanted with almost no effort.As I laughed to myself about how broken the system must be, my leopard friend started to charge a spell.I rushed forward trying to grab him with my spell charged hands, only for him to evade and lash out with mana coated claws. I took a gash across my left arm from the skill and moved to dodge his next swing.Thanks to my [Combat Focus] skill I managed to come up with a dangerous but effective plan.I dodged his attack and used my [Counter] skill to take his strikes power. He swung again much faster than before, I managed to dodge by a hair and stack the [Counter] skills boost. I jumped back and put about 3 meters between us, as I did I started rubbing my hands together like a defibrillator, building up more and more lightning in my hands. It leapt forward trying to knock me down for a killing blow and I pushed both my hands forward into its one large eye throughly frying it inside and out.Then the system gave me a very welcome message.

I stood up and dusted what was left of the leopard off of me.I noticed my surroundings fade away and I found myself floating in the now familiar green void again."System show skill and spell descriptions"I said.

Those will come in handy in the future, but I was really hoping [Disintegrate] was an attack spell.I bet they're some really flashy and cool lightning spells out there."I wonder.....System show me a list of lightning spells"I commanded as I was starting to get excited.The list that appeared was no less than a mile long.I quietly started to tedious task of looking through them all.Until one caught my eye, a powerful sounding spell called [Slam Bolt].
[Slam Bolt:Allows the user to throw small bolts of lightning by throwing punches at their target,when your punches connect with the target lightning will be discharged inside the targets body, this can have effects including but not limited to paralysis,internal combustion,pierce defense, and death]
[Possibility of skill fusion]
"Before we get to the requirements, system what is a skill fusion?"I asked expectantly.
[As you know some skills level up, at level 5 the can either evolve outright turning into an advanced form of themselves or they can fuse with something and become something entirely new. This fusion includes fusing everything from spells and other skills to fusing with outside stimulus like elixirs or diseases to greatly increase the skills power.]
[This does destroy the parts used in the fusion.For example if you fused a skill and spell you would lose the ability to use that spell and skill separately but you would gain its more powerful fusion.The spell or skill can be relearned but it is significantly harder, almost as if you developed a resistance to the skill, it's not really worth it.]
What's the skill fusion for this spell then?" I asked almost figuratively and literally buzzing with excitement.
[You must aquire both the [Slam Bolt] and [Breeze Step] spells as well as the [Boxing] skill, after leveling [Boxing] to level five you would have the option to fuse the spells and skills to make the skill [Storm Boxing]. Do keep in mind that [Boxing] is a very versatile skill and can has many fusions available to it.]
"Can you show me the fusions? "I ask somewhat expectantly.
[System level insufficient]
"I will take that as a no then" I say more than a little bit sad hearing that.Back to business, system what are the requirements the unlock the [Slam Bolt] and [Breeze Step] spells.

[Slam Bolt:Release a [Thunderbolt]spell inside an opponent with a closed fist]
[Breeze Step:Coat feet in wind boots and dodge 5 attacks from a opponent with a higher Agility stat]
"Those seems relatively easy, but I will need to the learn the [Thunderbolt] spell can I see its requirements" I asked.

"Wait... where the hell am I going to find natural lightning?"I almost shouted at the system.
[Natural lightning can be summoned using certain spells or skills,I can change your next combat simulation to include a monster with this skill. It will raise the difficulty significantly]
"Just do it, I imagine it's going to be difficult enough as is, a increase in difficulty no matter how significant shouldn't be to much of a problem"

As the system gathered and processed the information needed to make the simulation it started to take shape.It was very similar to the plain from the magic simulation with the only major difference being the rising slopes on each side of the plain.It seems it was a narrow valley and the slopes were the start of the valley walls.They rose up about 400 feet before they ran into a light grey barrier, but the most telling thing about the simulation was the cloud cover. About half-way up the slope a large cluster of thick black clouds rippling with lightning blocked out the sky.The pedestal was in place and I was ready.I pressed the button.When the count down came to an end and the monster had finished forming, the system announced [Start].
I was somewhat taken aback by how easy the trial looked. It was only a single level 1 monster called a [Lesser Gryphon].It appeared to just be gryphon without wings.Something was bothering me about it though.I dodged a few swipes from its eagle-like forearms, before it dawned on me that it didn't have any lightning attribute spells or skills.I jumped back to avoid another swipe of its large talons. I could almost feel my hair standing on end, then I realized my hair was standing on end.The implications of this hit me like a lightning strike.Because I literally got hit by a lightning strike.I was frozen in place in pain as I felt the electricity coursed through my viens frying my organs and nerves alike, and as the life faded from my body I could feel the gryphons beak tearing my flesh apart.
Then I was awake, floating in the green void I've decided to call the "Life Stream" once more.
