Object Class: Apollyon (Classification under review - See Addendum 8712-4)
Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-8712's unique properties and demonstrated capacity for self-initiated translocation, standard containment protocols are deemed ineffective. SCP-8712 resides within a dedicated wing of Site-██, designated Habitation Unit 8712-Alpha. This unit is furnished according to SCP-8712's specifications, which primarily consist of high-quality textiles, ornate furniture, and an extensive library of esoteric texts. A complete catalog is detailed in Item Log 8712-1. SCP-8712 has demonstrated a willingness to remain within Habitation Unit 8712-Alpha for extended periods, provided the following conditions are met.
A weekly delivery of at least one D-Class personnel for observation and interaction, detailed in protocol 8712-Omega, must be provided, with termination of said personnel permitted at SCP-8712's discretion.
Unrestricted access to a secure, Foundation-maintained internet terminal for research purposes is required, but access to external communication is strictly prohibited and actively monitored. Any requests for materials, within reasonable parameters and subject to O5 approval, must be provided. These often include rare and potentially dangerous substances, requiring careful risk assessment. Furthermore, regular, at least bi-weekly, meetings with assigned research personnel are mandatory as detailed in Interview Protocol 8712-Beta. Any attempt to forcibly restrain or impede SCP-8712's movement within Site-██ has resulted in significant security breaches and unacceptable levels of staff casualties.
Direct confrontation is to be avoided unless absolutely necessary and requires authorization from at least two O5 Council members. SCP-8712 is permitted to depart Site-██ for periods not exceeding twenty-four hours, subject to prior notification and the assignment of a Level 4 security detail for observation. Attempts to prevent SCP-8712's departure are to be considered futile. Post-departure analysis of SCP-8712's activities is paramount.
Description: SCP-8712 is a humanoid entity of striking beauty, approximately 1.70 meters in height, possessing jet-black hair, golden irises with vertically slit pupils, and two prominent, crooked horns protruding from its temples. A pair of large, black, feathered wings are present on its lower back. SCP-8712 invariably manifests wearing a pristine white dress, silken gloves, and a complex golden necklace resembling a spiderweb. SCP-8712 exhibits a sophisticated intellect, fluency in numerous languages both known and extinct, and possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of arcane and occult subjects. While generally composed and articulate, SCP-8712 displays a notable aversion to humans, often referring to them as "inferior" or "fleeting."
Conversely, SCP-8712 demonstrates unwavering loyalty and fervent affection towards an entity it refers to as "Ainz Ooal Gown," consistently placing his directives and well-being as its highest priority. SCP-8712 possesses a wide array of anomalous abilities, exhibiting exceptional prowess as a physical warrior and a skilled magic user. She demonstrates superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes, capable of effortlessly overpowering even heavily armed security personnel, with direct physical strikes measured to generate forces exceeding ███ kN.
In terms of magic, she is capable of generating and manipulating flames of unknown origin, casting potent energy projectiles, and conjuring destructive barriers. She also possesses an inherent resistance to most forms of conventional weaponry and magical attacks, capable of erecting powerful magical shields able to withstand significant damage.
She can summon entities of varying power levels, designated SCP-8712-1 instances, which are invariably hostile towards humans and follow her commands without question. Furthermore, SCP-8712 can instantaneously teleport herself to any known location on Earth and, seemingly, to an extradimensional location she refers to as "The Great Tomb of Nazarick." Attempts to track these extradimensional teleports have proven inconclusive. SCP-8712 possesses the unique ability to transfer physical damage inflicted upon her to an ornate, black full plate armor, designated Item-8712-Alpha, which she can summon and dismiss at will, with the armor exhibiting extreme durability.
She displays heightened senses, particularly auditory perception, capable of detecting minute sounds at considerable distances. SCP-8712 also has a sharp tactical and strategic mind, capable of formulating complex plans and predicting enemy actions with remarkable accuracy. She wields Item-8712-Alpha, also known as Hermes Trismegistus, a suit of black full plate armor of unknown composition, offering exceptional protection, capable of self-repair over time. She also wields Item-8712-Beta, an unnamed weapon capable of shifting between the form of a large battle-axe and a halberd, the weapon being exceptionally sharp and imbued with an unknown energy that enhances its destructive capabilities, contact with the weapon inflicts severe necrotic damage.
She wears Item-8712-Gamma, a golden spiderweb necklace, whose purpose is currently unknown, but it appears to be integral to SCP-8712's being, as attempts to remove it have been met with extreme resistance.
SCP-8712 was discovered following a series of high-profile disappearances and anomalous events centered around █████████, ████. Foundation investigation revealed SCP-8712 to be the central figure, with eyewitness accounts describing a "black-winged demoness" dispatching individuals with extreme prejudice. Initial attempts at apprehension resulted in significant casualties and the destruction of multiple Foundation assets. A containment strategy based on cooperation and managed freedom was subsequently adopted.
Addendum 8712-1: Item Log 8712-1 (Partial Listing)
This log details some of the items that SCP-8712 has requested to keep in her Habitation Unit. These items include a first edition of the Necronomicon, multiple scrolls written in unknown, potentially demonic languages, a collection of preserved insects and arachnids, several historical texts detailing the lives of infamous tyrants and conquerors, and numerous hand-drawn portraits of the entity SCP-8712 refers to as "Ainz Ooal Gown."
Addendum 8712-2: Interview Log 8712-Alpha (Excerpt)
Interviewer: Dr. ██████
Interviewee: SCP-8712
Dr. ██████: SCP-8712, can you elaborate on the nature of your connection to this "Ainz Ooal Gown?"
SCP-8712: (Scoffs) Elaborate? He is my Supreme Being, the absolute ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, and the one I love with every fiber of my being. Your… limited comprehension wouldn't grasp the depth of our bond.
Dr. ██████: You've mentioned this "Nazarick" before. Can you describe this location?
SCP-8712: (Eyes narrow) It is a place beyond your reach, a sanctuary of power and magnificence. A testament to the glory of the Supreme Beings. It is not a place for the likes of you.
Dr. ██████: You possess considerable power, SCP-8712. Why allow yourself to be… observed by the Foundation?
SCP-8712: (A slight smile plays on her lips) Observation is a small price to pay for the… amusement this world provides. And perhaps… to learn more about the pathetic struggles of its inhabitants. Furthermore, Ainz-sama has granted me leave for my own pursuits. As long as I remain within his grace, these… inconveniences are tolerable.
Addendum 8712-3: Testing Log 8712-Gamma (Selected Entries)
These tests demonstrate the nature of SCP-8712's capabilities. Test 8712-3A involved exposure to high-caliber ballistic weaponry, the result was that projectiles shattered upon impact with SCP-8712's skin, with SCP-8712 expressing mild annoyance. Test 8712-3F was an attempted containment within a reinforced Class VII containment cell, which resulted in the containment cell being breached within seconds with three security personnel killed. Test 8712-3K involved exposure to concentrated sonic weaponry, which resulted in SCP-8712 displaying minor discomfort with no lasting effects. Test 8712-3P was a request by SCP-8712 to demonstrate offensive capabilities, which resulted in the designated testing range being obliterated by a single magical attack, with an estimated yield of ███ kilotons of TNT equivalent, prompting the O5 Council to deny any further demonstrations. Test 8712-3S was a psychological evaluation, resulting in the conclusion that SCP-8712 exhibits extreme loyalty and obsessive tendencies towards "Ainz Ooal Gown," with clear signs of intense jealousy when other individuals or entities are perceived as vying for his attention, and significant misanthropy observed.
Addendum 8712-4: O5 Council Memo - Regarding SCP-8712 Classification
To: Records and Information Security Administration
From: O5-█
Date: ██/██/20██
Subject: Re-evaluation of SCP-8712 Object Class
Recent events and accumulated data regarding SCP-8712 necessitate a review of its current Apollyon classification. While SCP-8712 possesses significant destructive capabilities and the potential for large-scale containment breaches, its behavior thus far indicates a degree of predictability and adherence to specific motivations. SCP-8712's primary focus remains on matters concerning "Ainz Ooal Gown" and, to a lesser extent, its own research and interests. It has not demonstrated a consistent desire for widespread destruction or the violation of established reality, unlike many entities classified as Apollyon.
Furthermore, SCP-8712's capacity for self-initiated translocation to an extradimensional location raises questions about the feasibility of true containment. Our current protocols are more akin to a supervised co-existence. Therefore, I propose a discussion regarding the possibility of reclassifying SCP-8712 as a Thaumiel entity. While her inherent danger remains undeniable, her self-imposed limitations and potential for controlled utilization warrant consideration.
Her willingness to cooperate, albeit on her own terms, presents opportunities for research and understanding that would be impossible with a genuinely uncooperative Apollyon. This is a preliminary suggestion and requires thorough deliberation. Schedule a formal review for the next O5 Council session.
Addendum 8712-5: Incident Log 8712-Alpha - Unforeseen Reunion
Date: ██/██/20██
Location: Sector 7G, Site-██
Description: At approximately 03:00 hours, a site-wide containment breach was triggered by SCP-████ (details redacted). During the ensuing chaos, SCP-6791 (Evil Lord Wrath) breached its containment cell. Security footage from Sector 7G captured the following interaction. SCP-6791 was observed moving through a corridor, incinerating obstacles with its inherent flames. Upon entering a large intersection, it encountered SCP-8712, who was proceeding in the opposite direction, seemingly unconcerned by the ongoing breach.
SCP-6791: (Pauses, its fiery gaze fixing on her, head lowered slightly in deference) My lady, I perceive another of the Supreme One's creations. What is your purpose in this… chaotic place? This setting is unsuitable for one of your status.
SCP-8712: (Stops, her golden eyes briefly widening in recognition before adopting a composed demeanor) Wrath. I was conducting research, compiling knowledge pertinent to our cause, and ensuring the correct order within this world. This minor disturbance is of little consequence. It will be rectified swiftly.
SCP-6791: Research? (Its fiery form pulses slightly) These humans hardly possess knowledge worth acquiring, unless, of course, you find amusement in observing their futile attempts at resistance. It is amusing, I must admit. Their terror and hopelessness make the perfect scenario for observation.
SCP-8712: (A predatory smile plays on her lips) Their desperation can be… enlightening, their suffering a useful source of data. And occasionally… their panicked reactions are quite entertaining. Are you making your way to… freedom? Or simply trying to satiate your desire for destruction?
SCP-6791: (Its tone remains respectful but its fiery form intensifies slightly) Freedom is a concept irrelevant to beings of our stature. My actions are guided by the Supreme One's will, as all of Nazarick is. I simply tire of their predictable attempts at confinement. And you, my lady? You seem remarkably calm for the circumstances. Surely you are not content with the pathetic efforts they make in trying to control you?
SCP-8712: (Her gaze sharpens, a hint of irritation in her voice) This structure is beneath my notice, and their attempts at containment are futile. My allegiance is absolute; I would not act in a way that displeases Ainz-sama. I am fully capable of fulfilling my purpose here, without being impeded by such meaningless trivialities. Are you intending to cause significant damage? It would necessitate cleanup, and such tasks are best left to those less capable. The current situation will, at best, slightly delay the execution of our long-term goals.
SCP-6791: (A low chuckle emanates from its fiery form, tinged with a hint of bloodlust) Cleanup is a task for underlings, and I have no doubt you have many at your command. However… (It gestures with a clawed hand) Their fear is… palpable, their terror the perfect display of weakness. Perhaps a brief demonstration of power is in order, a reminder to these pitiful beings of their true place.
Before SCP-6791 could proceed, SCP-8712 raised a hand, a gesture of authority rather than supplication.
SCP-8712: Restrain yourself, Wrath. Unnecessary destruction benefits no one at this moment, and pointless displays of power are inefficient and foolish. Let us return to our… designated areas and await further instructions from Ainz-sama. This institution provides a stable environment for observation and data collection, a necessary component of the plan. Unrestrained chaos would disrupt that process. We should not falter now.
SCP-6791 regarded SCP-8712 for a moment, then slowly lowered its hand, the intensity of its flames diminishing slightly.
SCP-6791: Your logic is… as always, sound and far-sighted, my lady. Acceptable, for now, and as the Supreme One wills it. Perhaps we shall cross paths again, Overseer, when the time for action arrives.
SCP-8712: Until then, Wrath. Ensure the security of your own designated area. We cannot afford distractions.
Both SCP-6791 and SCP-8712 then proceeded in their original directions, their movements displaying an effortless grace and a subtle sense of purpose. Security personnel, observing from a safe distance, were under strict orders not to engage either entity. Both SCPs returned to their respective containment areas without further incident approximately twenty minutes later. The containment breach was subsequently resolved, though the implications of the encounter are under review.
The implications of two such powerful entities choosing to de-escalate a potentially catastrophic situation, while also discussing their "purpose," are under review by the O5 Council. Their seemingly coordinated actions, and their reference to a larger plan, are raising concerns about the potential for a coordinated threat to the Foundation.
