Today was the first day of school.
At the bus stop, we are standing there and waiting for the bus. The summer heat was sweltering to the point where nearly everyone is sweating. Me, being the whitest one there, already had sunscreen on but I was still getting close to being sunburnt. 4 other people are waiting at the same place I was for the bus. 3 of them are just neighbors and 1 is my best friend. His name is Eric he was the first one to approach me when I started high school.
It was August 16th and today was the first day of school for my second year of high school. The fact that I was very nervous doesn't help reduce the amount of sweat I have.
Eric: "You look like a pig! " He said with a weird expression on his face.
I stared at him. "You don't look too well either"
I wonder why I felt something was wrong. Was it just me?
The bus finally arrived after another 2 minutes of waiting.
When I got on, a cold breeze of air slaps against my face. Awww, this feels so comforting.
I follow my friend down the aisle before he sit down near an some older kid from our school.
"This is your friend?" said the senior.
He looked angry?
Why is he angry? I thought to myself as I tried to understand the situation.
Then my friend sits down next to him and whispers something into his ear before replying to me " I'll sit with you later, it's just I met him over the summer and we are working on something together." He said.
"O-Ok" I replied back while pondering over the situation. My stomach started hurting for some reason.
Our bus pulled up to our school, we left it in an orderly fashion. My best friend was still talking to the senior and they were laughing like best buddies for some reason. I'm not jealous. WELL, maybe a little. They occasionally glanced at me with this weird look in their eyes for some reason though.
As we parted ways due to having different classes he came up to me and asked for lunch money. I said I didn't bring anything today and he left with a weird expression on his face. My stomach starts to hurt more. Why is my stomach hurting so much today?
I head to my English II class and when I was inside the classroom, I found out our teacher had assigned seats for us. Phew, that was worrying. I don't know anyone in this class. If I sit down at a random place, it would have been awkward. As the teacher was about to start calling roll, something strange started to happen.
The air seem to get brighter as the teacher was roll calling. I started looking around to see everyone else noticing the same thing.
Just as I was about to bring this to the attention of the teacher, the speed it got brighter increased. I felt myself close to fainting and nausea as if we were getting pulled into somewhere.
Just before everything went dark, I heard screaming followed by cracking sounds ringing as if someone had just shattered a mountain of glass.

Meanwhile...
???: "I managed to transport everyone between the ages of 11-39. That was the best I could do."
???(2): "Its ok, we did manage to save most of them from 'it'." He said as he comforted him.
???(3): "You managed to save all the useful ones. The rest are either too old or too young to survive the spacial tunnel. That is even with the prebuilt space tunnel made." he said as he watched the planet that was called Earth shatter.
???: "But had we done it earlier, we could have saved more!"
???(3): "Only so many people can be held in the spacial tunnel, had you save anymore more, most of them would have been useless anyways." He said as if this information was nothing but a statistic to him.
???: "You! Why are you so calculating!!! "
???(2) " Stop arguing, we need to focus on transporting to their predetermined location. Else more will die!"

Suddenly a dark flash went unnoticed by the three people in the room into the spacial tunnel. It went inside someone and as if it never existed. Everything went back to normal.
