He was doing it again.
Huobai was again pushing away his close friends. Yitian asked him about his leg and he lied to him. He said that it was fully healed, but the opposite was the truth.
Sometimes the pain got worse, and the doctors said that as they feared when he was growing it grew a bit too and it was pressing on his knee nerve.
But when Yitian asked him that morning he couldn't tell the truth. He just had to lie.
"What about that thing?" Yitian asked, looking around, not sure if someone hadn't come back. Huobai smiled slightly and nodded.
"It's finally fully healed," he said and Yitian was so happy about that. That was all that mattered. That they won't be scared for him.
A few weeks ago he disappeared for a treatment they wanted to operate on Huobai, finally. But in the end, they couldn't really set the date. The doctors were discussing it among themselves and told Huobai they would call the date. Until now, they didn't call.
