Her breathing quickened, Sophia opened the bedroom door in surprise and walked in without any warning. By the worried expression she was wearing on her face and the guards, who had even drawn their swords. It was pretty obvious that they were listening to the entire conversation between the two of them.
But Noah had been expecting this. What he really didn't expect was that these people would try to save that boy if he was in danger.
And as he helped the boy up and, she surprised all those who thought, that something completely different was about to happen inside that room. Noah looked at Sophia, and asked "What's the matter?"
After helping the boy to sit up in bed, Noah turned around. "So were you really listening to our conversation?"
While putting away his sword, the team leader sighed, and then replied, "Our job is to ensure the safety of Ms. So we had to do it."
Noah sat on the bed next to the boy "Hmmm no I understand." he looked at Sophia "But what about you? Why were you listening to our conversation?"
'Something is definitely not right. He's just a murderer. So why do they seem to be so worried, what happens to him?…'
Sophia gave a clear sigh of relief "You can leave now..."
"OK! Mr."
All the guards put away their swords and, on hearing Sophia's order. More than quickly, they all left and closed the bedroom door.
She then approached the two "You can't hurt him."
"Huh? It's because? Isn't he just an assassin who was hired to kill you?"
"Kill?! No, wait. I think you're getting confused."
"Confusing me? But isn't that what they sent you for?"
"No! They sent me just to take her. And nothing else."
"Okay, but why can't I hurt him?"
Sophia sighed, "…He's the son of one of the biggest families in the entire city. And as our family is in no condition to face any other now. Even my father, he held himself back so as not to hurt him."
"Hold on?" Noah pointed to the bruise on the boy's stomach "So what is this?"
"This is good…"
"This was my fault. I got hurt myself."
"What?! What the…" Noah got up from the bed, and thoughtfully, took three steps forward. 'Well, that really explains why this boy isn't dead yet. What a…'
After sighing, he looked at Sophia "And where is your father?"
"My father? What are you looking for him for?"
Noah took his space bag from his waist. "To give you this."
And by adding some of his IQ to it, he made it with dozens of crystals, both red and blue. Get out of the inside and fall to the ground, right in front of Sophia and the boy's feet.
'Thankfully, I remembered to put some, inside the bag, on the way here...'
Taking a step back, an impressed Sophia asked "What's all this about?..."
"Oh, this? He saved my life before. And just before I left the first time, I told you, didn't I? That I would pay him for doing this. So the payment is there."
With her trembling arm, she pointed to the amount in front of her "Payment? But that…"
"You don't need to be worried. Even because this money will not be missed at all."
"Something is missing…" she muttered.
'So, how rich you are…'
Paralyzed. That's the word that would define the boy at that moment. Not talking and not moving. He was just there, looking at all those crystals that were in front of his eyes and, as he looked at that, tears started to flow down his face, which at that moment contained an expression of pure happiness.
'She really can be saved… Finally I can…'
But Noah took all the crystals again and put them in the space bag. And the smile that was on that boy's face, at that moment, disappeared.
"And then…" He tucked the bag around his waist "Do you know where your father is?"
"Ah yes. But…"
"But? But what? Let's go." He turned his back to the boy and started walking towards the door "I'm crazy, to get rid of this damn debt, that I can't get out of my head."
Sophia was looking with a sad look at the crying boy on the ground kneeling "But what about him?"
"He?" Already standing in front of the door, Noah turned around "What about him?"
"...Will you just leave him here?"
"Me? It is you who are o keeping it locked up. If you want to release him, do it. Anyway, I'll be waiting for you outside." he looked around and as he took his hand to the door he whispered "I'm tired of being in these places..."
"But…" Sophia was about to say something. However, her attention was diverted, to the boy who muttered "With that I sure could save her... I could, I could... So why?!"
The boy looked at Noah, who opened the door and made the sunlight hit his face "I accept!" he exclaimed.
"Accept what?" asked Noah, while turned around.
"I accept the contract. So please help me."
"What contract? The one I said, who would give you something you wanted?" Noah walked through the door "Sorry, but your deadline is up."
"What?!" the boy got up and ran after Noah "No, please wait!"
And when passing through the door, he found himself surrounded by the 6 guards, who pointed their swords at him. So while he was trying to catch his breath, his breathing was completely shaky. He knelt down and, after bowing his head, he swore "I promise to listen to every order, and every request you give me. So please rethink the contract…"
Noah passed between the guards, and crouched right in front of him. "Look, I heard you were a murderer, so I took an interest. But seeing your power, I saw that in addition to being a murderer, you were probably more than a genius. For being so powerful, at such an age."
He put his hand on the boy's shoulder, "However, besides not being what I thought. Even looking like, actually, killing doesn't even cross your mind. I found that you, in addition to being the son of a powerful family, something that could cause me great headaches. It's also an idiot. Useless enough to hurt yourself so badly."
"But I…"
"However, even with all this, I am willing to accept it. However, with only two conditions. But right now, you only need to worry about one."
Lifting his head and, looking with a fierce gaze, straight into Noah's eyes, the boy asked "And which would it be?"
Noah smiled. He got up and started walking slowly behind the guards. So, not understanding anything of what he was planning, both the 6 guards, who guarded their swords as he passed. As for Sophia, who watched everything from the door, and the boy, who calmly got up from the ground. They just watched, to see what he was going to do, or say.
"Kill them. Kill them and I will accept the agreement."
