She must be informed so she can be prepared, this child still needs to have background checks so as to not be a dormant danger for their young master.
She must also be treated well because the young master also treated her extremely well.
Soon they entered the towering gates of the Kai family main residence.
The flight of steps were high as if looking down below the courtyard of those who have yet to approach.
In a blur of motion, the young master Au stood in front of the towering double doors with the initials written in a language thought dead, in three steps he entered through the double doors where the servants stood, not serving the old madam Kai.
"Greetings to the young master Au,"
"En, take me to my grandmother, I need to have a word with her."
The head servant stepped forward and replied with a simple gesture.
"Of course young master, follow this servant,"
A while later they arrived at the grand courtyard entrance of the ancestral home of the Kai Clan.
The gates were guarded by two male servants, suited in the family's attire, hidden, were the other guards showing themselves only when danger presented itself.
Passing the two with the small child still resting in his arms Au Fuji entered through the gate following the servant with the two flanking him behind.
'Brother, brother, here eat this! You will get stronger with this,'
'Brother, brother! Here have this, it might be bitter but you will become immune to minor illnesses,'
'Brother, brother, here, take this and scrub your skin, your skin will be tougher and flawless, more so than a woman's,'
'Brother, brother, drink this, I know the smell is horrible but you will become more intelligent,'
'Brother…'
'Brother…'
'Brother…'
Au Fuji, sat opposite his grandmother, shoulder-length hair piled on top of his head and secured with a simple hairpin.
Even though it had been three days since he was missing and his hair had been much shorter in length because of his 'little sister', it had grown extremely fast.
His eyes became colder, his skin unblemished; smooth shiny and even much more resilient.
His stature grew by six inches, and his form had slowly begun to fill out from the usual skinny boy to one looking like ten.
Inwardly the old madam Kai was pleased that her grandson had matured outwardly and inwardly but her heart still ached.
What happened within the mountainous forest to her grandson?
Her eyes fell on the small bundle placed by his side when he took his seat, who was then covered carefully by one of the servant girls by his side.
"Grandson, who is this child?"
She asked even if she had already been given a brief idea.
She knew this grandson was weak before even if he was taught, he was average and had no life skills.
Alone, he would have been just one more person who had been devoured by the beasts in the Beeren mountainous forest.
Gaze still on the child, she thought to herself; the bundle sleeping by her grandson's side is a tiny child of dark sun-kissed skin, and a riot of curls that had been temporarily tamed.
This is his benefactor, a girl of about two, how is this possible?
Yet, she felt that there is more than she is seeing.
Her grandson finally spoke up as if reading her mind.
"Grandmother, her power is of great strength and speed, she also has a talent of recognising plants and concocting things to enhance the body. I have also broken through four levels with her help and learned how to hide it."
"Four levels!"
The old madam was surprised, she had never seen a child jump levels in a few days so fast, her grandson had been merely at level two of the first rank, which was not bad but now at level six of the first rank needing only four more levels to make it to the second rank!
This child is simply amazing.
Looking at the small girl, she could not help but to adore her, she is a lucky star!
Her only grandson who would have been torn apart by those beasts in the forest had survived and even brought back their precious skins and pelts!
Selling them would triple their wealth!
"Who is her family? We must give a reward!"
The old madam looked on excitedly, as a ranked twelve-level sixty person she looked forty-five instead of her one hundred and fifty years, if she breaks through to the next rank twenty years will be added to her life span and her youthfulness will stay this way for another ten.
Her joy with assisting the family of her benefactor faded when she saw the extremely cold look on the face of her grandson.
"Grandmother she has been abandoned, her mother had tossed her into the mountain forest and left. Little sister does not even have a name, she had named herself, for a child of two, something like that, is it the way you treat a child?"
The old madam felt her heartache, she had only one daughter, her son had died just before her daughter was born and their elder children had perished as well, the Kai family had always been small descendants wise but they had accumulated wealth.
Their history had also been long dating back to around three thousand years, but that is known only to a selected few.
How can she even allow words to get out that their history is so deep?
Too many eyes may fall on them and to her, for her grandson's sake.
She had gone to great lengths to hide it.
A minor family with minimal descendants, the secret her dying husband had begged her to keep she shall keep, abandoning her family, just to protect this one grandson.
Now with a benefactress without a family, that is even greater news.

Notes:
~*When Au Fuji said the last sentence, this is my thoughts on the matter, and you will understand as the book progresses: Actually, her mother did want her to be tortured so she sought a more true death. Brutal but ah.
In fact, among most of the noble class and imperial/Royal families, this is quite common, it is just if they are 'dug out' on time to be disposed of or used to fool their target.
~*Others: refers to the drakkotas, felines, mutts, shifters, serpentine, berserkers, resentares and other beings not human. (too tedious to mention all. Further descriptions in later chapters for those new to my books (~¥~))
~* Ancestor: in this case, it is someone she must show uttermost respect to.
