Chereads / King Reigan / Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: Straightforward ah

Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: Straightforward ah

"Yosh." Reigan stretched his body after finishing the book, then suddenly a green box appeared in front of him. He just received +1 intelligence in reading the book.

At first, he was still reading like a little child, but as he continued, he was able to read it even without the copy of the letters that Lilia had taught him. Although he was slow, at least he had finished.

The book he had finished was about the different species in Fania, kid edition.

It was the thinnest one of the books he had finished.

Don't get him wrong, that was one of the books with different shades of color, so it caught his attention. Plus it was thin, unlike the others. He just thought that if he wanted to start searching he needed to at least check some things, it was not because he got curious!

Okay, he is just a little bit curious.

But he wondered about the +1 intelligence.

Reigan: .....

Intelligence... 1...

Reigan's face twitched. He wanted to roar at this moment toward the certain system.

What the heck with this, ah?! It felt like the system was making fun of his smartness! How could this guy give him 1 for intelligence? He was obviously more than that!

He is smart. Smart for sure, he was not an idiot! But this d.mn system actually just put 1 for intelligence!

He felt like being mocked by this system!

He wanted to retaliate!

Then another green box pops up.

Wisdom - 10

Reigan: .....

Really hateful! Ah!

This system was too much! How could they just decide like that?!

Where was the rule of this system?! Wasn't it supposed to have the rule to follow?!

He really wanted to punch the system right now. No, let's strangle it until it dies! He's gonna kill this unfair system!

System: Wisdom - 5

Reigan: .....

'System, let's talk about life okay.' he thought, trying not to show, only to fail because of the bulging vein on his forehead.

System: Heh

The egg felt the anger of Reigan, so it moved on his head and peeked at the translucent green box.

The system, seeing the egg, instantly changed -5 to +5 Wisdom, which the egg didn't notice.

Reigan seeing the system gave him +5 made him smile.

This system was actually easy to talk to. It should have done it from the beginning.

'Very good system. I love you!' Reigan happily thought.

Reigan then checked his profile status, only to freeze.

Intelligence: 1

Wisdom: -10

Reigan:...

Reigan felt that this system just played with his heart. And the thing was, it felt that this thing had happened before.

He wanted to retaliate, really wanted to, but when he remembered what happened when he did a while ago, he cursed at this system in secret.

He will just make it pay someday. Just you wait, if he was given a chance he gonna make this thing beg for him, that's for sure.

Although he had no idea what these things were for, he got this gut feeling it would mirror on himself. He trusted that gut feeling. That's why he going to restrain himself, just for now!

The egg who had been watching everything that occurred: •v• ???

The egg found its blood-packed partner interesting, lit up a lot as if it giggled, then rolled on Reigan's hair-nest.

Reigan, feeling something moving on his head, felt itchy and used his hand to scratch it, only for him to accidentally touch the egg.

The egg that was touched got scared of being taken out of its home, so it suddenly made itself heavy.

A loud crashing bang was heard on the table, but it was only him who heard it, and -10 was taken from his HP.

This stupid egg! "I told you I wouldn't take you out of my head!" Reigan said between his gritted teeth.

This egg was too much! It just did whatever it wanted, changing weight on a whim, ah! Just a little touch and then it made him kiss the land!

What would he do if, during the fight, it suddenly changed its mass just because it thought he was gonna take it out of his head? He might die because of it!

He really needed to make a way for this stupid egg to go back to his storage. Ah!

The egg became light as a feather again when it heard what Reigan said. It felt relieved that it wouldn't leave its home (Reigan's hair neat).

Reigan rubbed his jaw and slammed to the table. Really painful, ah.

He looked around and saw everyone was glaring at him, some even sneered at him.

He had been feeling that since he came here, it was as if he was unwelcome. He just ignored it because he was busy admiring the whole place, then reading also.

Now that he thought about it.

It seemed that all the races that eyed him, made him feel like he was being pierced by their eyes.

It was as if they hated him, but why would they hate him? He was very handsome, smart, and cool.

Maybe they were either feeling insecure about his handsomeness or jealous of the girls that were with him a moment ago.

But he was alone now, so what about the fierce look?

Title: hehe

It didn't matter. Let's just think that it was because he was so perfect that they were jealous.

He nodded at his smartness.

*Ding Dong* *Ding dong*

The sound of the bell reverberates the whole place. It was so unlike the normal sound he made because the sound was heard loud and clear for everyone to hear.

He roamed his eyes and saw that the fairies and treants started to walk out of the door. There was no more Dryad inside, which he never wondered about. In the first place, they were few of their existence since he came here.

As everyone left, he saw the books being left on the table.

Tsk tsk tsk, these people should learn to bring it back to the racks they had taken it.

He was about to carry back the books when he noticed the books that were left on the table disappeared out of the thin air.

He observed more, and the second time it disappeared again.

He swallowed his saliva. There was no ghost here, right?

No no, he shouldn't conclude with only that.

He saw one of the fairies that were about to leave, leaving the book on the table. He observes the book and the fairy.

When the fairy left the door, the book also disappeared.

He also checked the others to see if his conclusion was right.

And when another fairy leaves, the book also disappears.

He sighed in relief.

At least now he was certain that there was no ghost here.

Really convenient.

But then, where could those books go to?

When another book dissipates on the table, a book appears on one of the bookshelves.

He mouthed wow.

Tsk tsk tsk. This place was amazing.

It would be great if he had such, ah.

Now that he viewed things, the torches already had the same light as the sun outside. No wonder he never noticed the time.

He should also leave and go home...

Wait...

Where would he go home to?

They won't make him sleep on the street, would they?

He was still feeling complicated when a dark shadow hindered the light in front. When he looked up, a shining dark-colored in a shape of a lady was seen.

He double looked and realized it was a Dryad. She is black in color, her eyes and hair were pure black. What made her fascinating was that, although her color was the same as a shadow, her beauty was captivating.

With her kinky hair, and smooth skin that glittered under the moon. Ah no, it was the small fairies.

The black lady smiled at him. "Hello, I am Lema, the librarian." The black lady, he meant Dryad spoke.

"Ah, um..."

Lema chuckled. "Your highness told me that you had a special privilege to read here. Although you still looked hateful- ah, forgive me. You are just too annoying to look at. Oh my, my tongue slipped."

Reigan didn't know what to say. Ah!

"You can use that room to sleep. As for food, just get it yourself. I don't like being with you, but I am not that mean to take anyone's money. The queen left an allowance for you, 1 gold a week. When you are done, you can leave. Ah, sorry, I am being straightforward again.'

Reigan twitched. " It's fine..."

"I gonna leave. You can read. As for dinner and lunch, as long as you live here. You could eat the same food I do. I would just leave it in your room. See yah." Then Lema turned her back. "Oh yeah, I don't like you. So don't disturb me as much as possible, only when it is important." Then she disappeared.

Reigan rubbed the back of his neck. "Really straightforward, ah."
