Mo Roulan said calmly as she tried to take the cotton from He Jian's hands. The cotton had been dipped into the ointment prescribed by the doctor.
However, He Jian avoided her hands and said strictly
"This is not the time to act stubbornly, Lanlan. Let me apply it."
Mo Roulan exhaled sharply. She knew that he was angry at his father and if she tried to argue further, they might only be arguing for a long time.
But her body ached because of fighting with a man who was physically stronger than her. She just wanted to rest after applying the ointment so she obeyed him silently.
Anyway …applying ointment didn't mean anything.
She closed her eyes when she felt the bruise churning because of the ointment.
"Does it hurt?"
She heard the gentle voice and opened her eyes unconsciously only to find He Jian looking at herself with distress-filled eyes.
