Jilib and Jamame are neighbouring towns to an important port city like Kismayo. It is a massive security risk to have the country's main insurgent group thrive unchecked in such an important region.
"The attack on the SYA's Forward Operating Base in Kismayo by upwards of a thousand men, goes to indicate that the ASB has infiltrated the important port city. As such the SYA considered it necessary to carryout a cleansing operation."
"Since it is unlikely the ASB has forces in the city, am I correct to believe the true target of the Kismayo operation are the Coalition's forces in the city?" Commanders Sikora asked.
