Mary had made her way past the perimeter fence. With her stealth-like abilities, she had a much easier time moving around than the others. That been said, she also proceeded with care and caution.
Like the central part of the Base, the front of the Base was also heavily guarded by groups of insurgents. Hence, in addition to using her stealth, she still made sure to stick behind cover as much as possible and avoid the line of sight of the insurgents. At times, however, she brazenly moved in the open when she had no choice.
